Puppy runs from me She run's from us and we have to trap her to pick her up. I have been tempting her with treats and just petting her. But most of the time she just runs from us.My 3 year old granddaughter can pick her up but not adults. She is 4 months old. Any suggestions would help.

keep at it I would say just keep playing with her. When your Granddaughter has her play with both of them. You may have to just let time fix her fear. Was she abused when she was really little. It almost sounds like that. Good luck. I am sure she will realize soon that all you want to do is love her.

gosh I hope nobody hurt her when she was little !! She is only 2 lbs now at 4 months old. She sleeps fine and plays with toys and other dogs fine and kids. I have only had her about 3 weeks. I am going to try puppy classes and see if that will help. Thank you for the advice:

Mrs Mikki (6 months) does that too and she's just playing catch. So I run from her for a while and then I tell her 'I'm gonna get you!' and we play that for a while. Mostly she gives up before me and we have a extented cuddle and kissing session. Somethimes I take something 'strange' for her and play woith it and of course she comes and wants to have it...

There is nothing Skeeter loves more than being held in your lap and cuddling but he wiggles until you have to put him down if you are holding him while you are standing up. I think it has something to do with the distance form my arms to the floor that he doesn't like. Try getting your puppy to come to you while you are sitting on the floor then pick him up for a cuddle and put him right back down again so he doesn't feel trapped. Keep up the food rewards.
