Hello, I'm Angie. I unfortunately do not have a Yorkie YET!!! I have wanted a Yorkie for years, they are just gorgeous! I am currently researching breeders and such. I have been, for a couple of months now, and plan to until after the first of the year. It is so frustrating!! I don't know if I'm to paranoid or what, but I can't seem to find anyone I feel comfortable with. There's not much in choices close to where I live, and with gas prices so high, I don't want to drive to far away. Anyway, wish me luck please!

i WISH YOU GOOD LUCK IN YOUR SEARCH. I HOPE YOU WILL MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE. THINK THAT IT TAKES TIME TO FIND THE PERFECT BABY AT THE PRICE YOU CAN AFFORD.
IT TOOK ME 3 MONTHS BUT KISSIE IS MORE THAT I COULD EXPECT.

Good luck finding just the right breeder, I can't stress how important this is. Take a look in the Yorkie Classified section and also the Breeder section here on YT. You will find amazing info and help there.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Welcome to YT.

You will find A LOT Of information on here. My suggestion would be take your time. Wait till you find the right breeder. I was lucky enough to find someone who I felt extremely comfortable with right off the bat. Try calling a local vet and ask them if they can suggest any good local breeders. That is what I did and it worked out great. Hope that helps.

Hello and welcome to YT. I know it is difficult finding the right breeder,etc. Be glad you found YT First...a lot of us did not. You will get all the info you need to ensure you purchase the right baby for you and from the right breeder. I think there are a couple of breeders from WV. You may want to check the yorkies for sale threads also.

I didn't think of that either until the lady I work with suggested it.

Hi and welcome to Yorkietalk. Have your tried the YTCA website? They have a referrals page. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club. I know you don't want to waste gas, but owning a dog is a 15-year commitment and you want to get the healthiest one possible. Most of the YTCA breeders will want to get to know you, and make sure you can provide a suitable home, and understand the responsibilities that come with owning a Yorkie. Since they are more interested in placing their pets rather than selling them, their prices are very competitive. When you support good breeders, you are supporting the breed.
