| Is Gidget acting out? Just want to say thanks to everybody who always helps out here. We are getting some work done on our basement during the day...and lately Gidget has not been herself. She has had a few accidents in her play pen, and even in her crate during the day. Just a few minutes ago, she piddled on our bed...something she has only done twice and that was when she was a young pup (she is 19 months now). Is our little doggie daughter acting out a little, because her routine is out of wack? I could use some thoughts. And part of our solution is to have the workers come in, give her a treat and take her out for a minute...than a couple of hours later our dog walker comes, then an hour or two later have the workers take her out again...then about an hour later, I get home. Any thoughts? Thanks, SP |

| I would have to agree....I'm no expert either...but I do know that we have 3 dogs...and whenever our life has gotten really chaotic....having lots of company visiting....etc.....we would have an occasional "acting out" by at least one of them....having accidents...chewing up "no no" items...etc. She could be also acting out if she's not getting the usual attention.....not sure how busy you are with all this remodeling....but like Tammy said...it could just be all the strangers in "her" house...and the noise as well.. Hopefully it won't be a long remodel...but then again she might acclimate to the situation.

| I only know from my own experience with Sadie - but if her little apple cart is upset or changed in any way - she starts to pee in many different places - NONE of them on her pee pad - LOL!!!! She definitely hates any kind of change in her routine.

| I know exactly how you feel. We are doing a major remodel inside and haveing the outside stucco'd. Buttons s very confused. We are taking him to doggie day care. He's been much calmer since we take him there. No more accidents. He usually never barks and was barking so much that I think he lost his voice poor baby. Can you take him/her to work with you so they are close by mommy. Good luck. I wish you well.

| Take her to the vet and make sure that she does not have an UTI. Then just start again training her. her little system is upset with all the strange sounds and people. Great idea having the workers spoil her always good to take advantage of a strangers to socialize. JL
