I'd like to introduce myself and Zoë..
 
Hello all. :) I've been reading a lot on this site and felt it was time to come out of the shadows and introduce myself and my little Zoë. I just got her about a week ago. She is 3 months old and is the sweetest little girl ever. She is my first yorkie (first puppy ever). She has a great personality. Very fiesty at times.

She LOVES running around in the grass. We have a big green area across from our house and I take her out there and she just runs in circles and bounces like a bunny. I have a video i'll upload to youtube soon.

Well, I will keep it short and sweet. Thank you all for the wonderful and very useful information. :)

Those are the 2 I have. It's difficult to take pics of her. lol She is always bouncing and running around. :)

Welcome!:) Usually they will do this in the grass when they are puppies. They are not used to grass, no matter how short, but for some reason they think they need to jump over it. They are just bouncy when puppies and I'll tell you to enjoy it while you can. Unfortunately, the cute little puppy antics don't last forever.:D

Thank you. :) I think it is the funniest thing. My son calls her a bunny hopping, toe biting doggie. :)

lol Good. :) We all put our feet up on the couch when she is running around. lol She started biting on furniture last night so I am thinking about getting the sour apple spray to spray on the legs of furniture. Does that work?

If the bitter apple spray doesn't work for you, you can try the clear stick deodorant. I have even taken clear plastic containers and cut them down one side to put around particular furniture legs when nothing else worked. I am so glad they grow out of that stage. They eat furniture, carpet and walls!:D

Yes, thank god they grow out of it. She started chewing on the carpet in the living room. lol

Are you sure? lol Sasha is 7 months and every morning when I get out of bed she immediately jumps down (she sleeps with me) and starts biting my toes. I currently have a boo boo on my big toe because she grabbed it the other night when she was really hyper and drew blood!

Well, then, you've been forewarned about your walls. You can't turn your back on them a minute. My other yorkie didn't chew on the walls or furniture, though, so they are all different. Kacee chewed on all three!:D

Ha. Thanks for the warning. :) I will be on the look out. I don't let her run loose yet unless I am home supervising. While I am at work she is in her crate and I come home during lunch and let her out and feed her. I'm trying to get a routine started. Seems to be working well. :)

Well, it has always ended for me. But I can't help it if she finds your toes irrestible!:D

Welcome to YT! I am a newbie as well! Abigail is 13 wks old and weighed 1 lb. 8 oz. one week ago. She also looks like a bunny rabbit running through the grass. When she first came home with us at 9 wks old, she was afraid of the outdoors but now she is very curious. I have to be careful where I put her down though as there are ant hills outside our place. By the way, I think you live not too far down the beach from us. We love our little girl so much and she is really a good little girl...she likes to chew also so we have to keep a close eye on her.

Welcome to you too. :) Zoe is a good girl too. She is doing sooooo good on potty training. I really am surprised by it. I thought i'd be picking up poop and pee all day but as long as I take her out regularly, she can run around the house and not have accidents. Of course, it happens once in a while but overall she is dong great. Where is mexico beach? I'll look it up on a map. :)

We are training Abigail with puppy pads first and hopefully outdoors next! She rarely has an accident and goes to the pads 99% of the time so far! Mexico Beach is East of PC, just past Tyndall Air Force base. We love to eat at the Red Bar on Grayton Beach which is close to you and it is about 62 miles from here.
