| I love the microchips as mine don't wear collars or tags (but are house dogs anyways). BUT just watch it as my cats microchip moved from between his shoulder blades to under his right armpit and had to be remicrochipped so now has two!!.the vet said its not common for this to happen but it obviously does happen so watch it for a few weeks and feel for it between the shoulder blades to make sure it doesn't move (someone may not think to scan somewhere other than between the shoulders)

♥My Lil' Monkey Girl♥ Donating Member | Our vet said home again as well as it is used to track overseas as well so if someone stole my babies and went overseas with them they can still be traced. So thats what we used....however, we use 24petwatch..... so im not sure if he mentioned the wrong one or if its the same. 24PetWatch

| I have AVID. Just remember to register the chip in your name. I had to register some chips the other day and I couldn't remember which ones I had already registered, so I called AVID. The chip is registered as being administered by my vet, but I was told that if I don't register it to my name also, then anybody else can register it to there name. |

| I also have AVID on both my dog and my parrot, and would recommend you look into getting yours registered in your name. I've read some sad stories about "stolen identities"... |

| Yes. As soon as I determined which ones hadn't yet been registered to me, I took care of it. There was a thread about a girl whose dog was stolen and it's microchip was then registered to the people who stole it. |

| I couldn't find a place online to register the AVID chip. Did I miss it? Instead, I sent it through the mail. |
