| Are my baby's the only 1 with WEIRD..... Way's?...Ok so for the past 3 weeks i've notice that Hershey will come in to the bedroom and leak 1 of the walls in one specific area almost like it tastes good...So i looked at the wall to see what he could possibly be leaking and found nothing...Then i cleaned it just in case there was something that i could not see but that didnt work, he keeps going back to the same wall to the same spot and licks away, sometimes i have to scream at him so he can take a break...And moving on to Kisses, she will stair and stick her noice on 1 corner in the hall bathroom almost like she was punished its super funny because she will not move from that corner till i pick her up and move her... So do any of your furbabys do anything weird like that???....

| My Yorkie doesn't lick the wall but my Shih Tzu does. I've never understood what's going on there to make her do that. I worry that she will become sick from the paint but so far she hasn't had any problems that I know of. Yes it is weird and I always thought that Sassy was the only dog that licked walls.

| My Yorkie does not lick the walls he prefers to lick his kennel. He loves the taste of metal, I guess. I yell at him to stop licking his kennel all the time. |

| My dogs don't lick anything, but my cat, Emma, loves to lick plastic bags. Wherever she can find a bag there she is licking. We can't figure out for the life of us why she does this, but this is her "thing".

| My dogs lick the wall too... they even put two nice big holes in it too... oh and don't forget about the spot on the bathroom floor... Chip put a nice basketball sized hole there too.

| does anyone know why a puppy would lick the wall? my mom's puppy is 11 weeks old and is licking the the wall, we will have to repair it in 3 places, it will be easy to repair. we are just wondering why she would lick it in the first place and how we can try to get her to stop doing it.

| I think Shadows nose may be a metal detector. He found one spot on the wall and licked and chewed... there's a screw there under the paint and behind where he chewed! Only place he messed with. I didn't tell hubby thats what happened to the wall. |

| I posted something on this a while ago, I called it "rituals". I don't know what it is about Yorkies, but they seem to have them..little unexplainable idiosyncrasies that one can't explain. I have a old piece of wood siding that I can't get rid of laying on it's side in the yard against the house. Maya has developed a pattern of walking toward the fence so close to the piece of this siding that her body scrapes the sides of it. She has word a distinct path in the grass following this same little pattern day after day. I bring my banana plants in in the winter into the garage, they are on the right side of the garage in their pots against the wall. When I would take Mika out front via the garage she REFUSED to go out using the left side (away from the plants), we had to walk past the plants or she was not going out. I think weird was the right word to use here.
