| Question for Biewer owners Are Biewers very similar or very different to Yorkies personality wise? I was thinking I would like to have a little boy in a couple of years but heard they were different from the Yorkies. TIA.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I have had Reggie since April. I wondered if what I saw was actually just a difference in personalities from Reese and Ramsey (my yorkies). I'm told biewers aren't barkers...but Reggie is, of course, he learned from the best there too. He is much more gentler than either Ramsey or Reese. Reggie will investigate the source of a noise...almost more curious. He is very very smart...such as if something is in our pool..and he wants it...he knows to paw the water to bring it to him. Reg is all momma's boy and I'm incredibly in love with him.

| Great, another enthusiast from Nova Scotia! I believe Biewers have different personalities from Yorkshire's but are equally as enjoyable. If anything they tend to be a little less timid and a little more trusting. In my opinion both breeds are wonderful. - Jan |

| I have a biewer x yorkie cross, and she is diferent. She does bark a bit more, she is a little heavier on build and she loves to retrieve toys and actually she is a bit obsessed with her toys. Her favorite playmate is Gracie , a yorkie that also loves the toys but never learned to retrieve them back, so the 2 of them play together "tug-of-war" . the biewer is very competitive and very loving too... she has big dark eyes with tons of expressions and loves kids.... hard to explain how diferent they are but she is a bit diferent for sure. It beggings on the build and then the personality, although she loves her toys she is not as interested in other activities all of our other yorkies are..

| My Biewer is much more laid back than my Yorkies. But I can't say if that is just her personality, or something specific with Biewers, or just because she was the last dog brought in to my home. She also seems to be a bit more "needy" than my very independant Yorkies. But again, I can't say if that is just her personality or something that is Biewer specific. |

| Great question and you'll get different answers, but in general I describe mine as the same as my Yorkie, but with out the Yorkie"tude" lol. My Biewers are very gentle and smart, but so is my Yorkie. My Male biewer is def. more of a barker than the girls. My yorkie hardly ever barks except to get my attention when I am not doing what she wants me to do, lol Both breeds are fantastic in my book and compliment each other perfectly.

| Intresting very intresting. My little behaviour nose is wiggling to see why this is. Genetic based in hair colour I am thinking. JL

| Yeah...I forgot about the whole 'being the loudest' part of the equation. All of mine are nosey, but the Biewer is the one that always gets the other barking...most of the time over something like a doorbell ON TV or the buzzer on the dryer or something... |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | With 5 Yorkies and 2 Biewers I see no major difference all of my 7 have their own personality but really the Yorkies and Biewers are basically the same.
