| Just an warning, crazy as it is Putting this in this forum cause it is related to puppy kisses. I went to the doctor today and one of the problems I am having is some pain in my ears. They were infected a little. Something came mind: Could it have anything to do with our new puppy (a chi who thinks she's a yorkie) coming up to me at night and sticking her tongue in my ears. (She does it to my nose also before I can stop her). The Dr said definetly could cause an infection, I guess cause of the moisture. I hate to tell her no for kisses but guess the ear kisses are out for me.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Actually it was probably the nose licking that "done you in". The nose has more bacteria than just about any other place on the body. We are breathing in bacteria in all the time and it gets stuck up there in the nose hair, which helps keep it from getting to our lungs, and the inside of the nose is moist and warm, ideal for bacteria. Don't let him lick the inside of your nose if you want to keep those bacteria from spreading.

| I really hate anyone or thing messing with my nose so I usually keep her away from it. I have had to have tubes up my nose due to bleeding ulcers several times and that has made me hate it. But the ears, she seems to sneak up on me. So you are saying when she licks my nose then my ears, it transferred the bacteria? Just trying to figure out what to tell hubby. He is so going to say "That's why I don't let them lick me in the face"
