Anyway Micahel became Dad to 3 cocker spaniel girls. By way of HAVING to deal with the dogs, cruella was around them a lot. For some reason, she and Cybil, one of the dogs, made a connection. Pretty soon, Cybil was spending most of her time at Cruella's house and a way from Micahel and the two other girls. Someway, somehow, she wormed her way into that coldest of hearts. Unfrotunately, Cybil died over a year ago, but I was there, and I SAW CRuella weep with my own eyes, throw herself protrate on Cybil's body. Grieving STILL as we speak. So I say, when it comes to your Mom, anything is possible. And don't forget....sounds like your Mom used to be a high roller...Real Estate is for a personality type that has the Little Engine That Could personality. AND she is getting older, and I dohn't like it, so sure she doesn't either. House, MERECEDES.... she's gonna be in a bad mood. She doesn't like HAVING to be bopped around between you kids like some charity case...so those yorkies have their work cut out for them. |

Good luck, I'm sure everything will be fine. I wish I had your problem I lost my mom 8 years ago she was only 62, so try to understand. But your dogs also come into play too. |

if she's on YOUR house I will say this - she's going to have to suck it up and make the best of it - dog lover or not. She's probably grateful to have a place to go at this point but may go thru some anxiety with all the moving around so have patience. I hope it works out. Remember this is YOUR MOM!!! ps - good for you doing this - |
My mother doesn't care for dogs, either. When I got Lucy after my husband died - she freaked out. "She'll poop in the house, tear everything up, it'll stink....etc" I heard it all. Well, let me tell you - within a week, Mama was in LOVE with Lucy! She comes over now to visit Lucy and Rebel and always ends up playing with them in her lap. If one of them has an accident - she's the first to make excuses for them and I think it would absolutely kill her if anything happened to one of my babies. She brought treats when they were spayed/neutered and can't wait to see them in new clothes. Your Mother will not be able to resist the yorkie personality!! |

OP, good luck with your mom. Who wouldn't be won over by three Yorkies? :) |
Hey love I'm 66. I'm sure your mum will learn to love your Yorkies too. They sort of get under your skin after a while. lol. I pray everything works out for you love. Hugs Shirl x x |
We Converted my MOM! Let me start by saying "Thank You" to everyone for all your support! I want everybody to know that we converted my Mom, she is now a Yorkie Lover and my 3 Yorkie's over whelmed her with Love. It officially took 24 hrs. for them to force themselves all over her. At first she said "I don't want them sitting on me" and "I don't want them to kiss my face/mouth" and now she is brushing them while watching TV. She met Artie 3 yrs. ago while I was visiting her, we stayed for 4 mos. so she already knew him. She gets along w/all 3, but Abigail has laid claim on her and acts like she owns her. They are inseperable and she keeps talking to her. I had moved out of the Master Bedroom and Bathroom so she could have some extra privacy and space. We are staying in our Guest Room w/c is smaller. I kept Artie's Cubbie Hole Bed in her Bathroom b/c that's where he likes to stay and she has NO problem w/it. She has not complained about them at all or the House smelling like Dogs or their miniature Furniture all around my House? Or how much time they are hanging around us. I'm relieved and I should have known better? I don't know why I wasted my time worrying about it? Who would'nt Love a Yorkie? I believe she was meant to be here and experience them so they could penetrate her Cold Heart. |
I AM SOOOOO HAPPY FOR ALL OF YOU!!! Good job giving her the chance to be with you - you are doing the right thing. If your mom is anything like the rest of us, I'll bet Abigail knows secrets hurting your mom's heart that noone else knows - they are such good little therapists! That was very generous of you to give up the master bedroom for your mom - I can only imagine how much she appreciates all that you are doing for her - whether it is easy for her to say it out loud or not!! I looked at your profile - you and I are the same age. It could be my turn next - you never know...you are a great example of what we need to be doing. THANK YOU!!! Have a great day and I will keep praying for your entire household!! |
That is wonderful wonderful news! So glad that your little yorkies have warmed her heart...sounds like she really needs them right now.:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
I'm glad everything is going well! You're rite, who couldn't love a yorkie! |
So glad that things are working out! |
Another one bites the dust:D |

Oh good! Just read your update and I'm so happy for all of you. Hopefully the pups will help her in so many ways, just being loved by a dog can uplift the spirit:) My mom is crochety as all hell, but loved my Starr to bits. She always hated dogs and would never let us have one growing up, but now she's even contemplating having a Yorkie. I wish I could afford to buy her one, it might make her cold dead heart liven up a bit:laugh: |
