| I had my Mickey done at 6 months old. They do neutering earlier now... you can have it done at a few months old (I assume the size of the pup is considered). Good luck!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey was fixed at 6 month too; it's a good age because at this time, the adult teeth are coming in, so the dentist can pull remaining baby teeth at this time. You don't want to put them under twice; so many people get their teeth pulled at the same time, too much sooner, and the adult teeth aren't coming in, and they would be toothless. Six months is also young enough so they haven't developed the habit of marking in the house, which can happen around 8 months.

| My Rocky was born in March and i had him nuetered in Dec so he was 9months old. I opted for the laser since they said it would minimize the recoup time and inscision (think i spelled wrong)

| At 6 Months Old The average age to get a Male fixed is usually 6 months, the sooner the better IMO only b/c it makes a huge difference in their behaviour. They don't get a chance to pick up alot of bad habits like "Marking" and they are not as Territorial & aggressive towards other males. |

| You just want to wait until the testicles have descinded. It's less invasive for them. I just had Baxter done at 8 mo (who had started to mark in our house, but after the neuter stopped), and Bernie done at 9 mo. Baxter was actually ready to be neutered at 6 mo, and Bernie's testicles were a little late to descind.
