anyone else get a dog from a former puppy mill I got Mia in August of 2007 from a lady that had 25 breeding dogs in a 2 by 2 fenced in areas in a horse barn. They only had a blanket if they were having puppies. She nevered cleaned out the floor of the squares so they were in their own feces and urine. I am still having problems with Mia for housebreaking. Somedays she is really good and somedays not so good. I am not complaining because she is a great dog. She is so lovable and good with everyone. I just wandered if anyone had any suggestions for breaking her of her habits.

I assume you have reported this young lady so she doesnt bring MORE pups into this world in such a fashion? Have you told your local animal protection services? This is very important - they dont know unless its reported. This should put the brakes on her poor business practice?

Puppy Mill Well, I don't want to make any-one mad but I got my schnauzer from a lady in Colorado. We live 45-minutes away and did not know at the time what was a puppy mill, She had LOTS of dogs. All kinds in cages outside and in sheds. But long story short. She has been the BEST dog I have ever had. She is now 12-years old. She is a white schnauzer. Her name is Sarah now I know what to look for and won't buy from a mill again. But I got lucky this time. She is fully potty trained. Cheryl/Jack/Bella/someday a biewer
