| Is this normal? trixie gained 1.12lb since I got her. I was very happy, thinking that I acomplished a lot with my love and care, but it's being two weeks, and she is still 2.10. lbs. Is this normal at five months? Also, as I said in another thread, I didn't know she was going to be small. looking at this picture,do you think she looks healthy? |

| I would say that is small. I think their bone structure is done growing at around 6 months. You'll be lucky if she reaches 3 pounds. I can't really see the picture very good, it is as small as she is -LOL- Can you attach a bigger one, I would love to see her better. |

| I don't know if that is normal or not but she sure is cute. My baby girl is 10 week old is 1lb 6 oz, but she eats well most of the time and plays alot and has plenty of energy. She may just be small. Tess |

| Hi there, Your baby looks healthy to me ! Has she been to the vet? Yorkie's come very tiny, to over 20 lbs. As long as she is over 2lbs she is in good shape. AND she has no health problems. Your going to always have to be careful with her and make sure she is not jumping off couches and beds. She is so little that any fall could seriously hurt her. anther thing that people worry about with tiny Yorkie's are hypoglcemia, and liver shunts. More common in the smaller ones. enjoy her, and love her. She is precious.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | She is SO adorable! My Marcel was about that size, or less actually (maybe 1 3/4 lbs) - around 5 months. He is now 3.4 pounds, I'm happy to report! So, she may still do some growing. I really think the tinies sometimes have later growth spurts - so hang in there, she may have some growth to come.

| The vet says she is healthy, is just that my dogs before, grew really fast (shih tzue) This one is so different than any animal I ever owned. On top of that, she gets lost on the grass when I take her walking, she blends in the carpet, and at night, i am afraid I will fall on her, because she cuddles under my neck. She gets in so much trouble because of her size, hides under the couch, jumps on the entretainment center, (dont know how, but she does.), and I have to be wacthing her at all times so she doesn't get hurt by jumping off these places. Dont get me wrong I love her so much, I can not believe it myself . another two or three pounds would be nice
