| How many ID. Tags do they Need? Hi Everyone I need some input/advice.......I have 3 Yorkie's all Micro-chipped but Artie is Registered w/AKC. Recovery Program & Home Again, they were one company but split into 2. Abigail & Tiffany Aloha are both w/24 Petwatch, we had recently moved so I had to update their Information on their Records. All 3 Company's came out w/New ID. Tags @ $9.95 each plus shipping & handling charges, of course they want me to replace the old ones. Is it more important to have a ID. Tag w/their name & address and cell numbers or a Micro-chip Tag that has their Micro-chip# & the Company's Info. or both? Plus their Rabie's Tag! How many Tags should they wear/have? God forbid if they were ever Lost or Stolen? I want to make sure they have enough Info. on them to be Returned? Of course I do my Best to keep them from harms way but "What IF"? Accidents do Happen and especially since my Mother is Moving-in w/us next Thursday, she's flying from California to Myrtle Beach, SC. So I'm kind of nervous about them getting out! |

| I wouldn't put the tags that have the microchip # on them, I only say that because I heard of someone having their dog lost then seen their dog with someone else and is fighting to get it back because the people that found it called the microchip company and had all the info changed into their name somehow so they had to fight it in court, i'm not sure how it turned out but it was on the news. People are now saying if you want to let people know your dog has a microchip then just put a tag on them that states they are microchiped. wow I really hope that made sense. but anyways I know what you mean about so many tags. It's rediculous. Hope I helped

| I would include your cell phone #, rabies # if that is important in your area and just state "microchipped" rather than what kind and a # so it can't be switched on you.

| I have often wondered the same thing. My girls are loaded with tags. ID tag. Home Again chip tag. AKC pet finder tag. Rabies tag. Pet license. Poor things are going to get strained necks!

| Selah just wears her tag that says my cell and "microchipped." We put that on instead of our street address, b/c we figure if someone finds her, they are more likely to call then come knocking down our door. |

| What Important Info.? I guess I'm going to get ID. Tags that have their Name and my Cell# on it. Along with their Micro-chip Tag and their Rabies Tag, I forgot to ask if anyone was getting/wearing a Dog License Tag too? If anyone has Dog Licenses required by their Local Humane Society? |

| Finally got New ID. Tags I finally got new ID. Tags for all 3 of mine. I originally went to Petsmart and paid around $25.00 but the Machine was broken and supposed to get Serviced so they gave me a refund. Luckily I found the same Machine @ Walmart and they only charged me $4.00 a piece w/c included Tax too. So I only paid a total of $12.00 that's a big difference. Half the cost @ Walmart? I decided to get their Name and my Cell phone #, now I'm working on getting them Licensed? I felt so guilty and I was paranoid that they would get out/lost w/o any Identification.

| Since Duke stays inside all day while I'm at work, I attached his rabies, home again, license and personal tag with my info to the end of the least where it's closer to my hands (where his pick up bags are). So when we go out for a walk, all his info are with him just on the other end. I used to have it closer to his neck and the noise was bothering him and I think all the tags were too much too. I sure hope that none of us will ever loose our little ones but it's good to be prepared so we can get them back.

| I have her lisence tag, and rabies tag on her harness, which she only wears when she goes out. She has her id tag on her collar with her name and my cell number at all times. I dont keep her microchip tag on for fear if she gets lost who ever finds her can have my info changed to theirs. |

| When Harley got his rabies tag, they printed his name, our last name, and my cell phone number on the back of the rabies tag. Do other vets not usually do this? I only had to pay an extra $3 for the extra engraving. I keep this tag on his harness, which he only wears when we are going out. Jeri and Harley |
