| Baffled we are not pregnant Our female went into heat and tied several times with our male. This would have been her 3rd prenancy. It took her in to get an ultra sound and no puppies. Her first litter was 4 puppies and the second, we thought we had kept them apart, so she would not have puppies, but she suprised us with one puppy. This time we decided to let her have a litter and even though she and the male tied several times, we are not pregnant. Any ideas how that happened? Thanks for your help. |

| On what days did they tie? Maybe you missed the timing? And is your male the father of the other litters? |

| I'm weird, but I would take it as a sign! Maybe she isn't pregnant cause there is a reason she shouldn't be pregnant. Nature knows!

| It could just be that you miscalculated her fertile days. That would be my guess. |

| Isn't it kind of like people-there's only a few days that she can actually get pregnant, and if the timing isn't exactly right or if the eggs/sperm aren't perfect, then maybe they won't stick? It's kind of nature's way of making sure only the best puppies are born Try again in her next cycle. We wish our best to you!

| Thanks everyone, Yes, the male is the same male that sired the previous two litters. But I think you are right! Nature knows. |
