yes she is new and she doens't know what scammers there are out there so I was pointing those things out to her. I never felt she was a fault or had done anything worng. It is ythe breeders responsibility to advise new owners, and not to sell them too quickly. So what is your reason for jumping on me. | |

| ![]() ![]() ![]() I wouldn't be too concerned that he doesn't have teeth at six weeks. Some programs and specific puppies have very hard gums and the teeth don't penetrate as easily. You should plan to ask your vet about dental treatment and having retained baby teeth removed, just to prepare you for what may come. If you plan ahead and have retained baby teeth removed in a timely manner, like when you get the spay/neuter, your baby will have a better chance at adult teeth coming in with proper alignment. This means fewer dental problems later in life. I'm with everyone else on leaving him with mommy until at least ten weeks. The social skills mother will teach him are very important. Secondly he will be much less likely to have coccidia or hypoglycemia later on. Thirdly he may have had all three shot's and his immune system will be better prepared to ward off infection. In short....he'll be much better prepared for life with his new family. In the meantime you can research dog food, basic grooming tips and of course clothes, here on the site. Congratulations on your new family member!!

| ![]() Thank you for all the answers about my puppies teeth. This lady had already taken the puppy off his mother at 4 weeks. She said that they start snapping at them at that time and she does that for their protection. She had already sold his siblings and I imagine he was still left because he doesn't have teeth. She would have let me take him at 6 1/2 weeks but I didn't feel that it was fair to bring him home and then go on vacation and leave him with someone else new. I don't want to stress him more than I have too. However, I now feel bad about leaving him there since his littermates are gone and he doesn't have his mother either. He will be almost 9 weeks old when I am able to pick him up. He is being kept inside in a baby playpen at her house. What kind of problems will he have since he was taken from his mom so young? I want to be as prepared as possible for anything that might happen with him after I get him home. |

| ![]() How big is your new puppy ? It will make a difference if he he under 3lbs when you bring him home . The smaller they are the harder it is when they become stressed out or a big change occurs. Keep your baby on the same food the breeder has him on. Free feed him. Have Nutrical on hand incase he won't eat, or has not for a while .This will keep his blood sugar levels up while he is adjusting. Remeber that a very young, puppy is comparable to a infant. Your going to need to be there for him. AND give him much love, attention. He is going to be frightend, and lonely when you first bring him home. Until he bonds with you, he will be confused , and distressed. I don't know what kind of temperament he has, so i do not know how he will do. Just make sure your there all the time for him, so he knows he can trust you. It is better to go shopping before bring him home too. Have all the supplies ready when you take him home. Your doing the right thing by waiting until you get back home. 9 weeks is much better then 6 1/2 .

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | ![]() Is your baby the runt? Reason why i ask is because Kioko was the runt of the litter and his teeth did not come in until around 12 weeks old...runts normally develop slower than the others...and please dont' bring your baby home until about 10-12 weeks old depending on how big he/she is at the point in time.
