I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | A really DUMB question about Collars and CT I found a really cute collar yesterday and I bought it for Tatum but I have a question first before I let her wear it. I feel pretty stupid asking this question cause I think it's dumb, LOL...but, I have never put collars on my babies before so I thought I should ask just to be on the safe side, even though I feel kind of silly asking it If she just wears this collar inside the house and I don't use it to WALK her with on a leash, can it still cause CT (Collapsed Trachea)? When I take the babies on walks, they both wear harnesses and nothing but - however, I just thought this collar was so cute and bought it basically for her to wear kind of as a "necklace" so to speak LOL. BUT, can it hurt her AT ALL??? If so, then of course she WON'T be wearing it. I just wanted to check cause it's better to be safe than sorry!

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | P.S. - I will put it on her very loose, it would not be tight AT ALL. Just thought I should mention that

| I would like to know this as well. My husband went out and bought "me" a gift and it turned out to be a Louis Vuitton collar for our puppy. I didn't want to be rude about it and hurt my hubby's feelings, so I told him that Roxy probably wouldn't be able to wear it until she is much oder and full grown. He spent a lot of money on the darn thing, and is so proud of it cuz he got it while travelling when we didn't even have our puppy yet. He can't return it at all either because we've moved to the UK and I don't think he still has the reciept. |

BANNED! | I'd make sure not to leave it on when your not home, she could get it caught on something and hurt herself. If its not heavy then imo it should be fine to wear at home and not used for walks like you stated. |

| All of my dogs wear collars 24/7 and always have. We've never had any accidents or injuries. Even though my dogs are microchipped I like them to have an ID tag too, it has my mobile number on one side and "I am chipped" on the other. I'd never attach a lead or anything else to the collar and make sure the collar size and weight is appropiate for the size of your dog.

| Both my two wear collars all the time too. I have id tags on their collars incase they get out. I know people say not to leave them on while you're out but I always think that if anything happened and they had a chance to get outside while no one was home then at least they would have id tags on. I always do the what-if and my what if some broke in while I was out and left the door open, etc. Anyway... Let's see the collar!!!

| Yep, my Yorkie wears a collar too. I have a harness for her walks but she has a collar that she wears around the house and anytime she isnt on a leash. I think collars are super important because if you have nothing on them and they get out of the house or lost somewhere, there's no way to identify them besides the microchip and not every dog has one of those. |

| My Tatum has a collar that has her ID tags on it but she only wears it when we go somewhere (which is not very often). She doesn't wear it around the house. I have heard stories of collars getting a dog hung up on something so that's the only thing I would worry about. I wanna see the collar too!

Here is a picture of her collar....of course, it's the pink! P.S. - She got the matching leash as well, but obviously she won't be wearing the collar on walks...so I'll just use the leash with her solid pink harness

| you are a responsible pet owner, and I am most certain you will have this under control . As long as you are well aware of what your baby is up to and is well supervised with a collar on, then I see nothing wrong with it. I keep my suzi's tags on her harness. She is never outside without me. I let her go naked and free inside our place.
