| Need help with experienced YTers... I do cat rescue. I currently have 15 cats, and I manage a feral cat colony. A feral momma cat had kittens 8 weeks ago outside of my house, and I need to rehome them. Is there anywhere on YT that could post this and see if anyone is looking to adopt a kitten? Of course they are free, so they are not for sell. If you know where and IF I can, please let me know. Thanks, Katie |

My furkids Donating Member | I think you are doing a great thing! I'm not sure about posting free kittens on this site. This is a Yorkie site.....Although I have seen other breeds of dogs here..I would ask admin...Maybe you could put pics and signs up in your area vets office. Good Luck!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | GOOD luck - I LOVE cats but I have a major problem where I'm living with people leaving food out for cats - the other day I counted NINE. I'm not too happy with it - I paid to have my girls at this apartment and we cant even step outside my front door without at least 5 cats staring at us...believe me - it doesn't make for a relaxing exit out of the apartment. Good luck finding homes for them - I wish where I live someone would do this. I don't know anyone who wants any of the cats where I'm living and believe me I TRIED. The sad part is I've seen 2 now that were hit by cars. it's very sad - but frustrating too on my end cause I can't do anything about it. |

I dont know if they are feral or if the guy down the street from me with a sign in his garden that says free kittens dumped them offf because he couldnt find them homes, but Its my first cat rescue and i would appreciate it if you could give me some tips as to how to catch them! Sorry for threadjacking! |

| Keely, I have pmd you! Thank you both for your answers! I just thought I would ask first, to see! red98vett- I am sorry you are going through this. It is frustrating, and not fair to you, the cats, or your neighbors. It is a sad thing all around. I fix all of the ferals I trap, and then manage the colony. It is alot easier when they are not reproducing. They dont do much damage, and usually, noone would even know they were there. They usualy hide out, until their set feeding times. my last rental, I fixed and rehomed 30+ cats. A lady just let them out of her house, and moved Now we bought our new house in December. And lo and behold, a whole new colony is here. All I can do it catch the babies at a young age, and rehome them. Then fix the parents, so no more come of it. Could you call Animal control, or the local spca to see if they can take them? Good luck! |
