| he growls at dogs on tv. OMG it is sooo funny, I have been watching dog whisperer and the dog show on tv. and Riley watch with me, and growls and barks at the Dogs..but the strange thing is I noticed a distinct pattern. He only growls and barks at the light colored dogs!! He dont bark at the balck or dark colored dogs at all, but when a white or light colored on comes on he has a fit..lol. even getting off the couch and running up to the TV screen and barking at it. any one else ever experience this? Riley is my first Yorkie, I have other non yorkie dogs. and they have never done this..I tell you with a yorkie, there is NEVER a dull moment. you just dont know what they'll do next...there so funny.

| Tv Fan Here Too Johnny is a big TV fan also. I like to think it's because the TV is a big one and the dogs seem close to life-size but who knows. The other night, he was watching Greatest American Dog. He sometimes runs up to the TV stand to see if he can get any closer to the TV dogs. It's hilarious to watch him!

| I had a dog, Sadie Mae Ann Louise (she was Texan...needed more then 1 name ) who loved to watch the Smurfs and the dog shows on tv. She would sit right down in front and move her head to follow the action, so I know she was focusing on the show. Gracie reacts quickly to any animal sound, dogs especially. She'll even bark back sometimes as tho caring on a conversation.

| Franklin and Maggie go CRAZY when they hear dogs on TV. All I have to do is say "It's okay, it's just a dog on TV ________ (Franklin or Maggie)" and they usually calm down. You might try that!

| Sawyer, my yorkie, ignores TV completely; Darby, my Biewer is another story. We have a large screen TV, and he goes crazy when he sees animals on Tv. He even runs around to the hall to see if they are behind the set. Commercials or cartoons of animals are both fair game. He stands up with his little short legs on the Tv screen, and barks and whines. We have to physically move him from the tv, he is a riot.

| Diddy goes crazy when he hears or sees a dog on TV! He barks, jumps off the couch, and runs to the TV. It is impossible to watch anything with dogs on it!

| These are funny! I have never had a dog who cared about the television until Roxy. She used to try to look behind the tv or go into the room behind the tv when she heard a dog. Now she looks directly at the tv and watches it. The week before last we were watching Greatest American Dog together. She was only half-heartedly watching until all of those little golden retriever puppies were all over the place. From that point on she was glued to the tv. She sits in front of the tv and stares up at it. When the preview for the next week came on with the elephant shaking his head and bugling (is that what they call the elephant sound? It doesn't sound right to me! ) she kept her body firmly in place, but pulled her head and neck way back. We have a DVR, so my son and I keep rewinding and playing over and over so she can keep watching what she likes to watch. Who needs to use a remote when you have your people so well trained!?

| I had a cat that would sit on the coffee table for a long time watching tv. Normally it would happen when a soap was on and the price is right. |

| That's what we do too! Loki knows what "It's on TV" means and I'm getting him to look at me first when he hears a noise. He's getting better. Sammy is so clueless she will go bark at the door or whatever but as long as Loki doesn't join in with her she settles back down.

| My beagle never watches TV but my yorkie does. He will sit at the foot of my recliner and watch. When we watch Animal Planet with dogs he goes nuts. Especially when the dog is misbehaving. It is soo cute. I just crack up. then he looks behind the TV and all around the TV trying to find that awful dog.
