I'm sorry... I in no way meant to say you would abuse your animals, that's the problem with the written word -- too many misunderstandings. Toby doesn't like to be "discouraged" and his little face looks at me like I've hurt him horribly when I even say "no" to him. (and believe me, he gets into enough "trouble" that he does hear it frequently). I, in no way am attacking you for how you treat your dogs, and I hope you will accept my appologies. I was just answering a thread, as you were. We don't all have to agree. I have said more than enough, and won't drag this out further! Again, I'm very sorry you misunderstood my intent.

humping IS a natural behavior and if anyone doesn't accept their dog doing it thats fine....nugget ONLY humps his little girlfriend and we keep her in our bedroom so no one else has to watch...its a sign of dominance (as they dont get aroused...they mate purely for reproduction and not for pleasure) my vet told me a little humping is normal as long as they dont hump everything in sight! lol nugget has never tried humping a person, and it is hillarious AND cute to watch nugget drag cookie around and play, and hump her! and for everyone who thinks humping is disgusting - thats fine you're entitled to your own opinion most definately but if others who think humping is funny or whatever and want to post pictures or movies then just dont watch them?? i know alex didnt post this thread to start fights...

My dachshund had a 'Big Bird" stuffed toy and when he humped it, it said "Peek-a Boo". I finally had to throw it away because you could hear it all over the house. lol Now I have a yorkie also and he humps the dachshund (both are neutered). I try to discourage this, but it really is a hoot. lol

Sully is NOT a humper, and never has been, thank goodness! But....little Marty is only 9 weeks old today and climbs on Sully and humps him constantly!!!! Is this something that happens when they are weined too early or what? Why did Sully NEVER hav a humping issue but little Marty is a humper at 9 weeks old?! And how to we stop this while he's little before it gets worse?!
