I can attest that it's not a good idea to do it anymore quickly than that.

i hate to disagree but i must. a lot of vets recommend crap because a) they don't know any better and b) that is what they are paid to recommend.

Sadie Eats Natural Balance Potatoe And Duck Small Bites. I Just Switched It A Little At A Time. She Never Really Had Loose Stool, But She Went Alot For As Much As She Ate. (not Much) But Now She's Poops Normal.

Oh, you're always welcome to disagree if you have a different experience. It's just that I recommended a couple of local vets in our area to her and I know them to be excellent, caring and knowledgeable. And I don't trust very many vets anymore.

oh i am honestly SO glad you have a great vet because there are many who are not up to date on quality kibble!

I think you are talking about when the pups head gets stuck in the trunk hole? I make sure to supervise while she is playing with any toy. I can see how their tiny heads can get stuck easily. Scary! But thank you for the reminder.

As for protien- ah the myth... unless you have an unhealthy dog.. there is nothing wrong with high protein. Layla gets home cooked food which is mainly protein and she is doing great. Wellness Core makes a great food as does Natural Balance which i think is what i'm going to use for a kibble after we are done with our wellness bag... they have a great grain free variety and their ingredients are great .. PLUS they have a feature on their website where you can put in a code on the bag and see how that batch did in quality control which i LOVE... finally a company taking control and showing customers what they are getting. Orijen also has a grain free variety.

I home cook too but I always mix it with Natural Balance small bites duck formula and let me tell you the girls don't have any kind of allergies and they have healthy tootsie roll everytime also the vet is so impress with the fact that they are not overweight he said is a big problems in toys breeds
