| I have a great House/Pet sitter, she comes and lives at our house while we are gone and takes care of our 5 dogs, 7 chickens and Koi fish!! I never have to worry because she spends a ton of time with them and I trust her completely!! We even went to Australia for 6 weeks one time and she stayed here the whole time!! When we got home they had twice as many toys as when we left!! She totally spoils them! Good Luck!

| Usually Selah stays with my parents when we go away, but this past summer my mom was just moved into a home, and dad was too busy with that to take care of the dog, so we had to put her in a kennel. This place operated out of the same building as my vet, so I felt safe with her there b/c her vet was there if there was a problem. Still, she came home sneezing even though we did the kennel cough vacciene and all. I don't think I'll be using that place again. I actually was pretty impressed with the petsmart hotel that is near us and might consider that in a pinch. Of course, I'd rather take her with me whenever possible.!! |

| I leave mine with my mother and father...for them it is like going away to the doggy spa for their vacation. |

| I can understand your feelings. I had my best friend, Duke's god mother, stayed with him ealier this year when I had a trip for a few days but I recently cancelled a trip because I could not find anyone to watch him for me at home. I'm just worry that if I board him, the other dogs might be too big and I don't like the idea that everyone goes #1 and #2 on the floor where they play....just don't want my baby to get sick..... Good luck with whatever you decide.

| My problem is that I won't leave Pixie with ANYONE! I have had her almost a year (9 sept) and have NEVER left her yet...I certainly would never put her in kennels..and I havent yet found anyone I would trust to look after her except maybe my hubby and son if I laid down some VERY strict rules! ..besides..where I go she goes too anyway! I would much rather holiday in this country with Pixie than leave her.
