YT Addict | Is it common... for yorkies to have thin hair on their head? It's kinda hard to explain. baylee has hair on her head and what she has thick. There just isn't enough of it to put a bow in. Is that common in puppies. She will be 12 wks old on sunday.

| Doodlebug is 21 weeks and doesn't have enough hair to put up. I still think you should at least make an attempt at putting it up now so that she is accustom to having her hair up when she is a little older. IMO

YT Addict | I try all the time!!! She fights and won't sit still. The only time I have any luck is if she falls asleep in my lap. But it's hard to work with what hair she has.

| I believe that the thin hair is a sign of a silky coat. siome of my puppies have such thin hair that you can see the scalp. You have to be very careful when putting the ponytail in, not to get the skin along with it. the first time I did Chachi's hair I had skin in with it and he ended up loisng all his hair in that spot. it grew back, but I felt like such a terrible mom. |

Then, I'd get a bow and have her lay in my lap. In order for her to sit still I say "be a good girl and we'll get a treat" and she'll lay there patiently waiting on me to finish, then straight to her treat jar and she gets a treat and tons of "good girl" praise! It worked wonderfully !
