| icky question so my little puppy is having issues when he poops, almost everytime it gets all caught up in his fur. It's pretty gross but I clean him up nice to only have it happen again. His fur on his little tush isn't too long so I don't know how to avoid the mess. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Gwen has this issue from time to time (she's only 15 weeks) so I clipped a little circle of hair off around her anus and trimmed any particularly long ones from underneath it with scissors and she doesn't have it since I did that....dunno if I did what is standard, but it seems to be working so far....Good luck!

| I feel your pain as I too went thru the same thing when my little Elvis was coming along. When he got his first grooming he was given a sanitary cut and that made all the difference! Then again, I've been trying different foods in hopes of his poo being more firm and have finally hit on feeding him Nature's Variety Raw plus NV kibble (separately)...seems to be doing the trick. Elvis is 8 mos old. Good luck!

| YEP had the same problem with Remy as a puppy ,so I bought a Wahl Peanut electric trimmer.I use the shortest comb that comes with the trimmer and buzz her little butt about once a month.I can tell when its time to do another little trim when she gets little danglers hanging from her tail..haha! Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Is it bc the poo is mushy? If it's bc of that, then you probably want to take a look at the food itself.
