There is an ad on Hoobly in Lexington Ky, for 2 female yorkies, ckc registered, 3yrs and 1yrs old, both are 3.5lbs and one is pregnant.. The woman said she has had alot of people email her and she told me that she would sell both of them for $1500. She claims that is a good deal since one is pregnant.. I don't see how she can guarantee it but I am afraid that some puppy mill is going to get them... Is there anything we can do.. She said that she had someone coming on Monday to see them.....Please help these babies... I am 4 hours from there, is anyone closer? As most of you know, I am allowed to rescue as long as I get the money back... I don't know what to do...Look at this face...

I'm afraid you're going to read about this a lot if you read those ads. It probably won't go to a puppy mill, they have all the dogs they want, and they can also get them at auctions dirt-cheap. It will probably go to a backyard breeder, and all we can do is urge people not to buy from them. Once people stop buying, byb's will stop breeding. It really is sad, she such a little cutie.

I live about 2 hours from Lexington. She's a doll, why is she rehoming them?

I'm 30 minutes from lexington....but I do question her breeding. The one is "nearly 2 years old" and already is a proven breeder. Isn't that a little young to be proven? And she is having more babies, seems to me there might be a huge vet bill if someone takes on that little girl because she didn't say what she was bred to nor the health of the girls. Also I believe her price is high, even for byb. BYB's do not pay high prices for a animal. So she might end up in a great home, including the other baby girl.

If you want me to try and take a look at them for you, let me know.

Just wanted you to know that there was a similiar ad in our local community paper a couple of weeks ago. I think the one here was a scam.. Don't know if they are related or not. Here is the thread....

Here are some pics she went me. She continualy changes her prices, she has had this ad running several different times over the last few months. And she dodges questions. BEWARE

Take another look at the ad. She claimed in her emails to me that she only wants to breed her ShihTzus!!!

She has several other breeds advertised!!!

I agree. Pitiful. Look closely at their coloring. They are all gold. Maybe a mix? Poor little girls.

i thought she said the girl was breed to a 2.5 lb blue and tan male? i could be wrong...

She just replied to my email....LOK at what she said about the little girl that just turned a year old!!!

Below are photos... they're the only ones I have right now as I cannot get the camera to work and I have changed the batteries and all.

We sold the boy yesterday... we have the two girls left... the black/tan girl is going out of heat and have been in with the male before i sold him yesterday.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!

BTW she sent me the same awful pics as before!!!!!!!

That is very, very sad. The yorkie's do not look well either . Breaks my heart in pieces. Some people are evil.

Sorry to say but that sounds like it has scam wrote all over it. The dogs look awful too. "I can't get the camera to work and have I have changed the batteries and all." Whateverrr, I wouldn't even be giving her my time of day.
