| ![]() Hey YORKiETALK readers.. I recently just got me a little puppie and he's amazing. I've got him all the toys he may need and I've switched his puppy food a few times. At first when I got him I was told to feed him baby food and then can food.. And I don't know if you were suppose to do that.. But I stopped and he's been eatin his can food.. But recently I've been trying to get him to eat some hard pebbles.. We tried so many different brands from eukanuba to royal canine and now today I got him natures best science diet and he's eatng the pebbles like he's never seen food before! So my question is.. Is natures best science diets hard food good to keep my puppy on? My other question is.. I'm having a really hard time trying to potty train him so any tips on that would help! I've tried different methods but it doesn't seem like it's working! And if I was to crate train him is that a better way to teach him how to potty train? And where is a good place that i should take him for a groom? And before i end this.. My last question is he has kennel cough.. Is there any faster way of getting rid of the coughs? Thanks for taking ur time and reading this thread! |

| ![]() Welcome to Yorkie Talk!! If your pup has kennel cough, that means that it was diagnosed at the vet right? Didn't they give you medicine for the pup and tell you how long to give it to him?? If you haven't been to the vet you need to go get him checked out ASAP. As far as the food goes, you don't want to be changing his food so much. You don't say how old your pup is but puppy's need puppy food, it is higher in calories and fat which their growing bodies need. If you need to switch foods you should do so slowly because you can cause your pup to have diarrhea from all the switching. Also it will take you many months to get your pup housetrained. You have to be consistent and patient. Get a good book on Yorkies and house training so you will know what you should be doing. There are different ways of training out there, you will have to find one that works for you and your pup!! Good Luck!
