I have one question to ask...the last time I mentioned it (somewhere else), I killed the thread.

Has anyone ever referred to a tiny chihuahua or tiny poodle as a teacup? I know that I have...and guess what...the standard classifies those dogs as toys...not teacups.

To me, it's a term used to describe size.

I used to get extremely offended at the mention of teacup. Now, I just blow it off and leave the educating to others.

Now it still irks me when breeders advertise teacups, though.

But I seldom get on that soap box anymore.

you know because of being on here is what makes it offensive, now dont take this wrong. its because we have all become aware of what people are doing. some use it as a sales tool. others abuse it and sell them unhealthy. thats why i find it offensive

Personally I am much more offended by the broad and general statement "I hate cops" than "is that a teacup". My father was Chief of Police, and I am so proud of him. And sure there are bad ones, like in all professions.
