| This is a great place, with lots of information and very warm friendly people. But pictures!! We need pictures of your precious little one.If you don't mind saying, what part of Texas are you in? I'm just north of Dallas. I know it's short notice, but we are having a YT'ers Meet Up in Waco this weekend. Would love for you to come if you could. If you go to the Southwest Region link you'll find some posts all about it. I too debated and researched about the Lepto. Because there are so many different strains and it is treatable I decided the risk was too great when balanced against the benefits. I would highly suggest that you spread her shots out. These little ones do seem to have more trouble handling multiple immunizations. And absolutely if you decide to do the Lepto, do only the Lepto at that time, don't combine it with other shots. And you do realize, these babies are a true addiction...you will be hard pressed to stop at just the one. lol And big tall husbands have noooo defense against their evil powers of cuteness. I've got pictures to prove how easily men fall under their powers. 1) Gracie Ruth working her evil powers on DH the very first day she comes home. bwhahaha He is now totally wrapped around her little paw.

| I am between San Antonio and Austin. I have not taken any 'good' pictures of her yet but I will post the pictures I have taken with my phone to show her off to all my friends! Waco sounds fun but this weekend is DH's birthday so I am making lasagna! As for the lepto shot it is a combo shot because he made the comment that it comes already mixed with 2 of the boosters she needs. He wants to wait a week to give her time to get used to our home and then give her the Lepto, her boosters and Rabies I am really on the fence yesterday she had earmites that we treated and that even seemed to make her lethargic. She really is like having a brand new baby! ![]() Gracie Ruth is adorable! |

| Hello and welcome to YT! You will find so many answers to your questions here. This site has been wonderful. I might not post much for lack of time, I'm a nurse, 2 kids and 2 yorkies but I am lurking in the background for lots of info. Great site!

| Teresa M. I also have a husband that was so against getting a new puppy... we are only a few short years until retirement. He is so totally wrapped into our new addition. Mandy loves him as he is her toy... he plays the silliest, loudest games with her... brings back fond memories of when the kids were small! I too would love another yorkie... but he was such a hard nose about getting this one... Oh well here is hoping she melt him completely someday and another furbaby will be in the picture!!! |

As for getting the second one, do like I did, tell him HE needs to have a dog of his very own. Once DH decided that yes, it'd be nice to have one to sit with him like my Annie sat with me, he was all business about finding one for himself. That's how we got Boo. Now they are inseparable and have a great time doing 'boy bonding' things together. ![]()
