I don't think so. We named him Doodles with the intention to call him Dude. But he's such a little bug it just kinda stuck and now that is all he will answer to. Very cute that your name is Doodlebug:p

I pay $40 for Teddy, and I drive nearly 30 minutes to take him to the groomers. Groomers in my area overcharge, and they end up making Teddy look ridiculous. But the groomers I drive nearly 30 minutes too, absolutely give him the best cut. He looks gorgeous after every cut. I'm happy to waste the gas and the 40 to make Teddy look good.

totally agree! my mom and i drive almost an hour to our groomer every 2 weeks....

basically if they are doing a great job and are treating your little one right, it should be worth every penny.... ;)

Sorry, I can't really be of much help here cause Maggy May has never been to see a groomer. However, my sister has a full breed yorkie and she's taking him to get groomed, they are charging her $35.00 not to much more than what you are being charged so it must be a pretty fair price?

i used to pay $28 per dog...hehe...i have 6 of them...but now i will be grooming them myself...hehe

I don't think that it is too much. I pay 40.00 every six weeks or so. The groomers are fantastic with Odie. Infact they have two groomers when they do him because he is too small for the harness on the table so one holds him and the other does the grooming. He is always happy to see them and when I go to pick him up he is usually sleeping or they just leave him wander around the shop. Odie has been going there since he was about 8 weeks old. So he is very comfortable to go and get all dolled up. :p

I pay $l00 for Tootsie and Teddy to a mobile groomer about every six weeks. I'm beginning to think it is too much.

I have paid $50 here in Dutchess County NY. I don't pay anymore because the last place I went to butchered my Tobey and I wanted his hair to grow long. It is finally starting to grow back now. I will trim them myself from now on.

Here in NYC I had paid up to $95.00 per dog for a full grooming, My friend has her own business and she charges up to $75.00 not including the taxes and tips....When ever her/mine schedule permits she comes to the house and groom my babies for $80.00 for the both and I guess for being here that's a great deal being that she has to come here, sometimes I just go over to her house.

I was thinking the same- a friend of mine in NY pays around $90 per dog. Meanwhile down here it ranges from $35 to $70. I have a friend that pays $70 for her small poodle (which IMO is too much) but I pay $40 for Zoe. I guess the bottom line is if you are happy with your groomer, stick with them. I have read A TON of horrifying stories- some on this site- about bad groomers.
