My yorkies name is Callie and her registered name is Princess California and her name just kinda came to me when we got her home and I was playing on the floor with her I said Callie and that is what I decided and her registered name California came ofter that and it wasent after the state lol |
Lil Miss Maggy May is our lil ones name. And we named her this because, well, she's lil, and she's a single gal, Maggy because I just loved the name and May because it fit so well with Maggy:D |
My Yorkies name is Audrey-Belle. Belle was the breeders name for her. Our daughter had always wanted a Yorkie and she LOVES Audrey Hepburn she collects anything she finds about her. Audrey Hepburn also had a Yorkie so we hyphenated the name to Audrey-Belle. :D |
When I was thinking of getting a yorkie, I could not come up with a name I like at all. One day "Duke" came into my mind and I decided to name my yorkie (when I get him) "Duke". And boy, Duke definitely fits with his name, big name for a small dog and he holds his own too. Everyone we meet laugh at how fitting his personality is to his name and how Duke has a petite mom with a big personality too :) I love my Duke. My sister is thinking of getting a yorkie too and she plans on naming her Dutchess....:animal-pa |

My baby's name is Lulu. We were just tossing names around, and I didn't want anything sounding "too doggish" and we came up with Lulu. and it just so happens to fit her personality perfectly, because she is one looney little girl....:D |
My oldest, Beau was named Blue when I got him at 9months... we just liked the name and wanted it to sound similiar to Blue. Next came Gus..and his name fits him...he's like an old man...so calm....NEVER barks...I think I've heard him bark once or twice. My baby girl, Zoey, was suppose to be named Poupee...means doll in French. She was born on my granny's birthday and Poupee was what Granny's boyfriend called her....they were Cajun. But, my kids and husband didn't like it...so she became Zoey. Oh, sometime I think we should have named Gus, Linus, because he carries an old piece of cloth around in his mouth when he gets upset.... |

My first yorkie I named Auggie Doggie after the Yogi Bear cartoon. LuLu Maye Belle, we call her lulu or schmooo Bosley Beamer King, sometimes we call him BB King Baby Zoey, because she is so tiny only 2 1/2 lbs and it suits her;) |

Paco? My baby's name is Paco Ryan Elmo Johnson. We all (hubby, me, DD, DS) wanted a different name so my hubby suggested that a fair way to choose would be to vote. We would each picked two names we liked for a total of 8 choices and then we would each rated the names 1 (best) to 8 (worst). The name with the lowest score would win. DH wanted Paco and something else I can't remember. I wanted Frankie or Walker. DH wanted Dallas or Skip and DS wanted Ryan or Elmo. The real contest was between Paco and Frankie but obviously, Paco won out. DS was disappointed that his names didn't win so we used them as middle names. About 2 weeks later, I was in the car with DS who is 5 years old. Out of the blue he says, "You know...you can't name a dog after food." I told him that Paco isn't a food, taco is a food but not Paco. He asked what Paco meant and since I didn't know, I said we could look it up when we got home. Well, when I got home, I did just that. What I found out was that Paco is the nickname for Francisco. The English translation of Francisco is Frances so the translation of Paco is Frank. I got what I wanted after all! |

My puppy was born the first week of August under the zodiac sign Leo. I was born a Leo as well. So I called him Leo. Evry once in while you'll hear my husband jokingly say Leo the chicken hearted, because he has to held when he is near the neighbor's dogs (chocolate labs). My Leo will hide behind my legs if he sees the dogs are out front playing. He does enjoy looking at them through the fence out back. :aimeeyork:animal-pa |
