| There's a saying that goes something like.... Yorkies are like potato chips, you can't just stop at one. I have three. Would love more but 2 of mine are seniors. Health issues are starting to pop up and they need my attention. Joanne

| Tinkiem, I have to agree I have only one yorkie and a senior beagle who is 16 and actually perked up since we got the pup but I want another one so bad.,.. We are on a very fixed income and my hubby is handicapped so at this point it is just not an option. In fact my brother in law raises yorkies and gave us Cooper. I would have liked a female but one just doesn't say no to a gift. I have never raised a male dog so the challenges of marking territory in the house have about done me in but I wouldn't trade him. I am facing empty nest in the next 5 weeks both of my kids will be leaving home one for college and the other has bought a house.... I will be busy but I am looking for a little girl to "dress up" LOL I sometimes put bows in Cooper's top not even thought I get razzed. So hang in there. Maybe we will get lucky and our ship will come in... Hugs Cheryl

| I know what you mean about this site making you want more Yorkies. I also have a Schnauzer and a Yorkie Puppy, and they have been such good buddies. But our Schnauzer is almost 13, and I figure our little Yorkie girl Tiki deserves a little sister to grow up with.... so I have a secret that I will share soon.

| I have always been a one-Yorkie person. Due to some physical limitations, one is plenty for me. But, when I read some of the posts on this forum, I am so tempted to get another dog. But then the following thoughts cross my mind: 1. Want to provide the BEST care and vets and grooming are expensive. 2. What if they want to go for walks at different times. 3. What if I need to go away - its easier for someone to take one than two 4. I'm just too darn old to take care of more than one at this time in my life. But for those of you who have more than one - ENJOY THEM - THEY ARE BUNDLES OF LOVE |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Well, if you can't physically have another one....you can kind of adopt everyone else's! You're bound to have some favorites of the ones you read about every day. Welcome, by the way!

| Potato Chips...can you stop at just one. I have had just one, then Cora's baby girl for a few months and now waiting for her to have her next litter. THEN MAYBE, I can keep another one. My only reservation is that I spoil Cora so much, will she feel rejected if I keep one of her babies? This is Cora and her baby Faith. Faith is now living in Pittsburgh and I miss her. |
