I just weighed my yorkie today and OMG he is 23lbs. Is this unheard of? Has anyone heard or had a large yorkie. I bought him from a breeder and have him registered.

No, you're not the only one. My Harley's weight ranges from 21-24lbs. :rolleyes:

OMGoodness is he the cutest baby ever! I am partial to teapots! Just love their big face. Mimi is now 12 lbs:D Yup she's my big girl and I love every bit of her. She feels like such a teddy bear when we cuddle.

I dunno... I have the best of both worlds and it is incredible! My Tootie is 16 lbs and Hopey is 5.... love both my babies!

As everyone else has said, there are LOTS of gorgeous (and handsome!) "Teapots" around here - so your baby definitely isn't the only one! :p There is absolutely nothing at all wrong with him....some babies are bigger, some are smaller - but they're all WONDERFUL YORKIES! :D

Oh don't get me wrong...I have 2 smaller ones at home and Mimi is my bigger girl and when we cuddle it is the best because she keeps me warm:D So yes I also have the best of both worlds too and I love them all the same and they are also treated the same. There are ppl out there who prefer the little ones and ppl who prefer the bigger ones....thats all.:D

Daisy is our Teapot here,, she is nearly 10 lbs,, our other girls are "normal" to smaller sized love em all!!!:)

<<<--------- Naboo over there in my avatar is my 16lbs'er TeaPot! I love her to death! I love that she's so big I can cuddle her and bite her and she doesn't mind :rolleyes:. She also the one that's never sick compared to Squeekie and Wookie, not once has she had to go to an emergency vet. I also love it when she sleeps next to my back cause she keeps me warm but it kinda sucks when she starts jumping on me like a little frog cause it really hurts. :(

Your so right. I tell Buddy he's like a cement block dropping onto my stomach
first thing in the morning when the alarm goes off. What a way to wake up
each and every day!

Yup they sure do. :rolleyes: But you can tell their full weight when you tell them its time to take a bath and you need a bulldozer to try and move them.

Oh YES, add my 20lb Willie to the "TeaPOT" club!! LOL!!! My YorkiePoo (Buster) who died from kidney failure last Dec was a big boy as well, so Willie reminded me of Buster the first time I saw him, floppy ears and all! His sister was tiny with perky little ears, so I guess Willie was a throwback or something, lol. I luv him anyway!
My Chloe is about 6lbs, and it does worry me at times when they get to playing a bit rough, I'm afraid Chloe might get hurt.

I just love that term "Teapot"!!!! LOL!!!!!

I agree! I love Teapots! Just look at those big cuddly faces, it makes you wanna 'skwoosh' 'em! Mika is on the larger size, she's over 8lbs already and only just 5 months! I love that she is so 'chutzie' and she loves a big squeeze!
