| Moving to Pennsylvania on Friday! Any pointers on how to make the 2-day car trip with the furbutt go smoothly? Oscar is pretty good in the car, and will probably travel in his Sherpa carrier. I've gathered all his favorite chew toys and treats, leash, harness, etc. and have a travel food and water dish. My mom is making the drive with me, and we're planning on stopping every couple hours so we all can rest and potty. I've asked the vet for a mild tranquilizer just in case. Anything I'm missing? Moving is stressful anyway, and the fur factor takes the stress up a notch! Are any of you in the Penn State/State College area? |

| You might want to check out the travel section HERE When we travel...we always take WAY too much for the little ones. We have their favorite blankets and a few toys. Travel bowls w/ treats and foods. Plenty of water bottles (mine drank directly from the bottle)...etc. LOTS of stops...

| I see it now. Thanks again! I'm just anxious to get there and get settled in. I love living different places, but the process of moving is probably one of my least favorite things to do. Just the thought of loading up the truck tomorrow makes my head hurt. |

| Coming from Nashville...it is going to be a culture shock! At least it was for me...or maybe I just had too high of expectations...no, it was a completely different world. I moved up here from Oklahoma and whew! Its a beautiful state..especially where you are going but the people are much different that my dear okies are...just takes time to get used to! Are you going to school there? DH says, "Good! Hook me up with some Penn State tickets!"

| Thanks for the well wishes and advice! I just moved back to the US after living in Spain for several years, and I don't know if my system can handle any more culture shock. I love the Northeast and am excited about the colder weather!! |

| I'm sure you both will be fine. Just take plenty of breaks.

| Just stop every 1 & 1/2 hour for a walk and potty break. Next I wouldn't give them medication if they have not had it before with no problems or you could have some major problems. I wouldn't even give them anything except water and food that they are use to. Bottled water of course. Good luck on the trip.
