| New!_calling all 7-8lb yorkies.... Hi! just got my 8 weeks old yorkie last week! his name is Ted, pics coming soon. I just got his first vet visit at the banfield at petsmart and that weight says he's 3lbs! If i have him in an enclosed space, he'll always use his wee wee pad, so I guess he's doing good so far. I've read those weight charts so it seems like he'll be 7-8lbs. The mother was 8lbs and the father 4.5lbs. When do they stop growing? I wish i knew know how much he's going to weigh. anyone who has a yorkie around 7-8lbs?????, i'd love to see pics of your yorkie!! |

| Congrats on your new baby! Tucker is about 7 or 8 pounds at a year and a half. He was 3.2 pounds when I got him at 17 weeks. Here's a link to a puppy growth chart: Growth Chart It says to multiply the weight at 8 weeks by 3. So your little one could be around 9 pounds...but like with people, there's no guarantee. Here are a couple of Tucker so you can get an idea of how big Ted may get.

| Tobi weighed 3lbs at 8 weeks and at 19 weeks, he was 6.5 lbs. Still waiting to see just how big he will get. Take a look at my album if you like, my photos are too large to upload here.

| Mika was 3lbs at 8wks, she is now almost 5 months and is already 8lb! She is not overweight, I love the fact that she is bigger, she's so cuddly and I can give her a really good squeeze without fear of hurting her! I'm guessing she will be about 10-11lbs full grown (double her 12wk weight). Thats fine by me, much more to love!

| Congratulations!!!! There are lot's of us with 7-8 lb dogs. My little pack are all 6.5-7.5...anything smaller would just not work in our house. There is just a couple pounds more of them to love.

| Hi there! Congrats on your new little one! When I got Deegan at 9 weeks he weighed 2.5lbs. Now at 3 yrs he's full grown and just went to the vet a couple days ago and he's weighing in at 9lbs! He's a bigger boy, tall w/long legs. He's by no means fat at all - just very lean and muscular. You can check some of pics out in my album.

| Otis is 8 or 9 pounds! My first yorkie was 3.5 pounds and when he passed away I was looking for a baby a little larger than that. Otis is perfect! He's still small enough to carry around easily, but not as fragile as my first yorkie!
