| -Sasha is afraid of a running vacuum. She'll just bark and bark. But when it's off she's checking it out. -A running blowdryer. Again, she'll bark while it's on but will sniff it when it's off. -She's afraid of the popping sound made when you pop trash bags or fresh laundry. She'll take off running -And this one is the funniest to me. She's afraid of ME when I'm sitting under my hooded hair dryer. She won't even come to me when I call her, lol. She'll just stand there and look at me like I'm a space alien (I guess that's what I look like to her). And if she has the nerve to walk by me, she'll get as close to the wall as possible and kind of slink by real fast! |

| The only thing that pops out to me about Tristan being scared of is thunderstorms. He will sit right on my lap, shaking and staring out the window! He hates them. It sure seems like he hates the hairbrush too because he acts like I'm killing him when I brush him.

| ha this is a cute thread... Copper is afraid of Barbie Dolls when they are laying on the ground he growls and fusses over them untill someone picks them up. They don't even have to look real at all and he still throws a huge fit.

| OMG....my dear departed Sheltie was terrified of sneezes. And...she knew the word. If you said, I'm going to sneeze....she would bolt out of the room.

YT 2000 Club Member | Jeter is afraid of running water/ bathtubs, hairdryers, basically anything that has to do with bath time He hates bath time. Except his brush and comb, he loves to be brushed. He is also afraid of the recycle bin, he will bark at it but keeps a distance He is also afraid of anything that is loud like thunder, fireworks, garbage truck... Now I haven't had the other 2 for long, Yumi Yasha has not shown any fears yet, in fact she went after the blow dryer today LOL! but Axl is afraid of the Vacuum, brush, hair dryer and also other peoples dogs barking he stops dead in his tracks and shakes like he is expecting them to pounce on him at any second. He is also afraid of the puppy purse, but I think that is because the 2 times he was in it was when I took him to the vets for shots, he doesn't want anything to do with it now.

| This is soooooo interesting. Gracie has no fears, but her Aussie sister does not like anything that makes noise, hairdryer, vacuum, leaf blower, lawn mower...the list goes on!!! She has her favorite hiding places in the house, where she will hide until the noise subsides. Her favorite is under our bed!!! What a chicken, her little yorkie sis puts her to shame!!!! In all fairness, I understand that some dogs ears are more sensitive to noises. I know mine are...I can hear the security system in some stores. It is so annoying to me that I have to leave the store. One employee told me mostly women and children can hear this high pitched sound. Uggggg....it's like fingernails on a chalkboard.

| Paco is afraid of sneezes, too. He goes crazy, barking and growling, jumping around like a jackrabbit on crack. He's also afraid of the vacuum and the flyswatter. He's good in the car for about 30 minutes at a time and then it's time to call ralph and earl. He used to be afraid of parked cars until he realized that he gets to walk to the dumpster so I can toss his poo bag. Loves that dumpster smell in August!
