| How to make a puppy pen ........ How to make a puppy pen... I found this site as i was lookin for a little puppy pen to put in my garden. I thought it was really good as you cud make it small to start with then as the puppy gets bigger make it bigger. Also for people who do not have an enclosed garden you could make this and have you puppy outside with out worring where the puppy is when your weeding the flower beds Any way just thought i wud share you might not like it but i just thought it was a good idea http://www.clanofthepoodle.com/puppen.html

| That is a great idea. I love it but I imagine all those plumbing supplies would be quite costly. Then again, the safety of our precious sweethearts is PRICELESS. Thank you for sharing that idea with us !!!! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Hubby did make one like this for Joey, but we used it in the house. We painted it, and covered a board with vinyl for the bottom. The PVC pipe is really cheap, but those connecters aren't, and it ended up costing us over $100.00, but it worked great for those times when I couldn't keep an eye on him. Here's a couple of pictures. Joey doesn't look too happy though.

However I think my puppies would be able to get between the sections of pipe. They get out of my wire pen and the squares are 2X4 inches. For puppies I prefer the X pens | |

| It looks awesome but I fear our girls would also either slip out between the pipes and or jump over it. Kali recently jumped a three foot gate like is was nothing and she's only four pounds. She's a little monkey...LOL |

| I'm sure that mine could all get over the 2 foot pens, but I have only one that does. I have to stack gates in the doorway or she jumps over and then comes and stares at me, I guess to tell me that I forgot to put up the second gate. LOL None of them have ever challenged the 3 foot pens. |

| This is a picture of my puppy pen. It's a 2 foot X pen around a 4X4 piece of plywood covered with vinyl. I made the partitions so they have a sleeping area, a play area and a potty area. It works and the puppies learn at an early age to go to the potty area. This aids in the training process when they are old enough to play outside of the pen. |
