I don't leave my girls in their harness (as tempting as it is) because I worry about them scratching and getting toenails stuck in the harness....the harness getting stuck in their mouths - and the biggest fear is them getting caught on something and hung....

I don't say that to be the voice of doom ...but it HAS happened right on this site with someone who left their puppy in a pen wearing a harness while they went to the beach.

On weekends I keep them on cause my girls are velcro'd to my butt. If something happened - there's no way I wouldn't know it...but I never ever leave them on unless like today - I'm home.

I leave the vest harness on Myah sometimes during the day, but not her step in harness. I only put her step in harness on when we are traveling in the vehicle or going for walks...

I just put their harnesses on when going outside. I tried leaving them on just during the day but Fritzel kept getting matts.

Yes..now that you mention it..that's another good reason why I take them off right after walks. I usually have to give them a quick brushing when I take the harnesses off as they do become a little tangled.

I only have Suzi wear her harness when outdoors. I let her naked indoors .

Oh no....I use them for walks only, I NEVER leave them on them constantly.

I only use the harness when we're going on a walk of going somewhere in the car, otherwise, he'd just gnaw on it.

i leave izzys on all day until it is time for him to go to bed. he does chew on it, but when i catch him, i just tell him NO.

I dont have problems with his hair matting. his hair is silky and i keep it short.

I leave it on all day, till our last walk. I try to take it off at night and always take it off when I am gone. Its too much of a hassle to put on and off. I wold love to use the vest but the one I got did not stay on...it had velcro on it and came apart a couple of times during the walk. One of mine is a runner and when it came loose it scared me to to death...will never take that chance again.
