| Say a prayer for little Bella... Bella was at work today with me like she always is. I have the office closed off and gates, etc up. Then there are two double doors that lead out to the shop area ( heating & cooling) well someone left the gate cracked and the double door cracked and within minutes, Bella was out there. I realized it in little over a few minutes. Well when I picked her up she had a face full of cob webs and started acting like she was going to puke. I was like great. The guys have stuff everywhere....nuts, bolts, washers, pieces of this and that. Sure enough Bella got ahold of something. She began gagging and dry heeving to the point she acted like she couldnt breathe. I rushed her right to the vet and long behold.......a washer was caught in her throat. It was out of the site for us to see it, but just barely. They were able to get it out without surgery, but now her throat is very sore and still acts sick to her stomach and if she eats something she acts like she is going to puke it up but doesnt. They gave me an antibotic and a pill to help her from coughing cause he said it was really irritated. Poor baby...she is playing like crazy, but you can tell she just doesnt feel good. She will just stop and come over to me to pick her up and lay her head down on my shoulder. When I gave her the liquid antibotic she puked it up. I have to wait til next time cause they said you never know just how much went down. They also did x-ray to make sure there was nothing else further down in and They said she had a lot of air in her colon due to dry heeving which was normal. I was in tears all the way to the vet, Bella was hacking and trying to puke. I was thinking she was going to die it was so bad. OMG...it was terrible. Thank God she is ok, but please say a prayer for her little throat. Its really bothering her and she acts like she just can't get comfortable. I can't believe this happened....I'm always soooo careful and drive the guys nuts about shutting the doors. I was on the phone and that as all it took. The guys are no longer allowed behind the counter in my area. This way the one gate will never be open. lol She was to get her 3rd set of shots today at 5:30 but they want to wait for a few days to give her time to heal from this. She is 16 weeks and weighs in at 2lbs 10 oz. ps.....guess what the guys are back there doing now since they have no calls? Cleaning!!!!!!!!!!! lol |

| Bless her little heart! Isn't there anything you can give her to soothe her throat? I would think there would be something. I think I would ask the vet about that. Soooooo glad that little girl will be ok.

| He gave her a pill to help with the coughing/irritation that has a pain type relief in it. I don't think he can give her anything else beside that. But you know I didnt think about it...Shouldnt he of said to feed soft foods. He didnt say a word about it...But I'm going to any way. I dont think the poor baby could handle old hard doggy food. |

| Sure glad that the vet could get the washer out of Bella's throat. Sometimes I wonder what possesses our little ones to put such things in their mouths? Can't tell me that it tastes good or even smells good. Guess it just has to be experimentation, aye?
