				   | Our Breeder has informed My husband and I that she will be putting us in her will. I was flattered and we told her that we would be honored. we have been to her house a total of 4 times and love all her dogs. She says to us :So if there's anyone you want let her know!!!!!!! I want all of them. specially Spanky's full brother who she also calls spanky as well as a few others. My question is how many is to many? I think we could manage 5. I don’t want to jump the gun but I do want to start considering the what if's. what do you think ??? anyone with more then 5? pro's and con"s?

That' so sweet that she did that. I have 4 and I would have 2 more if I could afford vet bills etc.

				   | What an honor. She sure must think highly of you and trust you with her babies. Another member, Jeri Cunningham, has nine furbabies. Guess the question I would ask myself is how much money can I spare for vet bills.

				   | I have 6 dogs and 1 cat, and honestly... its to many. I will keep them all until death takes them or me but I really really feel overwhelmed by the responsibilty of all of them. Three of them are large breed dogs however, I think that makes a difference. If they were all little ones I don't think I would have the same feeling, I don't know maybe I would. It is a lot more financially too so keep that in mind. Vet visits and vaccinations for the whole crew, flea control and heartworm meds. If you bring them to the groomer that is even more. I wouldn't trade any of them however, cause its also 6x the puppy kisses, 6x loving when you come home.

				   | You must feel so honored. I'd think about how many you would really feel comfortable caring for, and most of all pay attention to.

				   | I had a friend ask me to do that a year before her death.. and I had 28 Yorkies to place...20 adults and 8 puppies..Fortunately, two good friends joined in and helped me..took about 3 months. I would not take on a large number again as I do not have the room now..but I could manage to place 4 or 5 for a friend. |

				   | I guess the question is how many can you afford or are willing to have. Also and I'm not sure how to ask this but is there some emergent reason she feels the need to do this? if not, then your question might be a moot point for she may outlive her babies. She may also be planning on placing the others, aside from the one you want with other people. On another note, what an honor. It sure says a lot about you and your character.
