No Longer a Member | Drying your furbaby with a hairdryer. Hello everyone, Is it just me or what? This morning at 6:00 am my husband took Chloe outside to potty. It was raining cats and dogs! Ha Ha! Anyway, it was really raining. When he brought Chloe inside, she was soaking wet. He thought I was a complete idiot when I got out the hairdryer and put it on low and blew dryer her. He said why don't you just towel dry her? I said are you kidding my baby could get sick. He just shook his head and rolled his eyes and said what a spoiled dog. Does anyone else blow dry their little furbabies? My husband says no and I say yes. When your a mommy, you want what's best! Denise |

| I would absolutely use a dryer if they came in from the rain and were soaked too. Eekkk, can we say, Wet Dog Smell. I use the dryer after baths in the winter time, I don't want them getting cold. But in the summer I just turn off the overhead fan and let them run around like crazed idiots. They both love to run and roll and rub on the towel I put down. What is it about a bath that gets them so all fire riled up?

| I use a blow dryer on a low/warm setting. I just make sure she is mostly dry. Explain to your husband that yorkies don't have undercoats like other dogs and can get chilled easily when they're wet.

| It makes perfect sense to me. A blowdryer dries them much better than a towel. Why risk them getting a chill?

| Yes I blow dry Kali and Mica all the time. If they were to get wet in the rain and after their baths. At first they were a little afraid of the noise but now they actually love the warm heat from the blow dryer. I think it really warms them up because they seem quite chilled after their bath. Our winters are cold out here in Canada as you know so blow drying is a must in the winter months. LOL |

| If I bathe Mufasa at night I might use a hairdryer for just a few minutes so he doesn't get cold but right now other than that I just let him run around the house like a crazy person! lol |
