| Are opposite sex dogs less likely yo fight in a home? I have a nine year old yorkie,Oliver, who at times was aggressive to his older brother. Since we recently lost our 13 year old angel, Dupree, to unexpected heart problems we are considering getting a puppy. Is it true that a female puppy might be a better choice for Oliver? I'd appreciate any advice. |

| I have three females and they are the best of buds. When I was on several rescues, I fostered male and females and never had any problems at all. |

One will always want to be the alpha over another. When I had just my female...and a male. She was boss over him. Now she is boss over two males.

| I agree. I know that unspayed females are more likely to fight with each other, though.
