|  new and confused! Hello everyone. this is the first time i have ever used a forum and im not sure if the last post i sent worked! anyway am trying again. dont actually have a yorkie yet but have spent the last couple of months reading all i can about this captivating breed. really want to do my homework before i commit to buying a puppy. i dont know any1 who has a yorkie so am looking forward to hearing tips and information from those in the know! xxx |

| Thank u all!! I feel welcome already i know that each dog is an individual but as a breed what are yorkies like with children? i have two little girls, a three year old and a one year old. both are very gentle with the dogs of friends and relatives but i wasnt sure if it was best to wait until the children are a little older before buying a yorkie. of course i wouldnt leave a puppy with the children unattended. any advice very appreciated xxx |

|  Welcome to YT. Well, I know some people will agree that yorkies do not belong with small children - and I do know of tragic things happening to yorkies with children as old as 6. But others have babies and yorkies. Doing your research first is so important - so I commend you for that
