| Harness vest ? There are so many pro and cons about collars and harnesses; who's to know what to do? I've often thought about the harness vest, but I'm so afraid the velcro won't hold! Can I please get comments and opinios from those who use them. Right now I use harnesses for my babies, but they are always chewing them (espcially in the car), but when they are in their fences yard, I don't have anything on them, which I worry about; the little buggers are like little Hudinis, they can escape from almost anything. Opinions please.

| I had one cute harness that was velcro. But, My Suzi played in the sprinklers with the kids, the velcro did not hold when wet. She nearly got away from me , and I have not used it since

| My Yorkie is one year old and quite playful. She wears a harness vest and has never escaped from it. I did use a collar on her at one time, but the vet said that is a no,no as Daisy will tug and this would not be good for her trachea. |

| I think you will find that custom-made harness vests are made with heavy-duty velcro. At least, the one's that I have were made that way. I've had to pick Kacee up by the leash (through the air) before to protect her. Believe me! It held! I also use the harnesses that span the chest like the Freedom harnesses. I like both kind. I really like harness vests, but I like the harnesses, like the Freedom, for really hot weather. Just be sure that the D-rings on any harness vests you buy are solid and don't have a split in them. The leash can pull through the split and tragedy can result. Good luck in whatever you decide.
