| URRRR...Humping Ok, this drives me NUTS! I mean, NUTS! Now, Baxter is my baby-he is perfect according to me, BUT he has started to hump Cloe and it is P*issing me off! I HATE it! Baxter is neutered, and he is almost 2. Chloe is NOT spayed-she is 5 months...is that the problem? She can be spayed at 6 months (if I remember right). I guess I just thought since he was neutered, he wouldn't do this. IT SERIOUSLY BUGS ME!

| Yea, humping is a behaviour - however 'normal' it may be - that I will NOT tolerate and really must be the only person on this planet who doesn't find it amusing and hilarious . I've heard using a water spray bottle to stop him works. Good luck! |

| I will try that. I don't think it's funny at all-it drives me nuts. I HATE it! Thanks for the info...do you have one that you have stopped? I am hoping someone will tell me a story of theirs stopping or something. It seriously bothers me. He didn't start doing this until a week or so ago-and he's almost 2! Never hummped a toy or anything.

| No, neither of my dogs hump or have ever humped. And neither are fixed either - thank goodness. But a neighbor of mine HAS used a water bottle to stop hers. |

| It is normal and is probably related to the fact that she is getting older and he may think 'too big for her britches' and he's trying to let her know who's the boss. It might help if you try not to interfere with any other dominant behaviors he shows towards her, so he won't have to resort to that one. It will probably disappear when she's spayed, if not go with the squirt! |

| I agree humping is not funny its very embarassing when they do it in public, while we were dogsitting Toby i would get so humiliated when he would try and hump dogs at the dog park. I wish i knew what to tell ya just know its natural and it SUCKS

| My eight month old Genie had her first mense two weeks ago and last week we caught her humping my couch pillow shams. I agree that it is not funny and is very embarrassing. I do not know how to stop this behavior but I here this is by instinct when they arrive at sexual maturity.
