OK I'm on pins and needles!

I know what you`re going through our Darla was spayed last Thursday. I was sooooooo scared too. Just make sure that you have pain meds. for the next several days. We had to take Darla back to the vet & get some.It took her a few days but she acts fine now!!!We get the stitches out tom.YAY!!!!

OK I just picked her up. She is SOOO pathetic. I feel so very bad for her. She is extremely groggy and can hardly open her eyes. She can't walk either. They took out 5 teeth also and she has blood on her face but I can't wash it off!! She is not licking her stiches so I haven't put a onesie or e-collar on. Her incision is tiny though. And she has internal stitches and the vet said they would desolve so she doesn't have to go back to have them removed. They gave me a bunch of pain meds for the next few days and also some antibiotics for her teefers. Oh she is just so sad though, she wakes up and just stares at me and cries. Poor gal.

The vet said she did awesome though and had no issues with waking up or anything. They also gave me the teeth and they are HUGE. They are very long, I'll post pics later.

Thanks for all the well wishes!! I'm sure she'll be back to herself in no time. Until then, don't worry, she is being very pampered. I set up a great sleep spot for her all around the house. She's as comfy as is possible.

aawww bless her heart..glad she came out of it in one piece you must be so relieved! tuck her up in a quiet room and offer water and food regularly to keep her strength up..Pixie scoffed her scrambled eggs the morning after..she was sooo hungry! although she did manage to eat a small bowl of meat a couple of hours after coming home which she licked off my finger ..it was a relief as the vet said her blood sugar was a little low from not eating for a while.

How old is your girl ? I am glad things went well for her. I saw that post where a yorkie was lost too. Scared me soooo much too.

She's 7 months and weighs 4 pounds. She's doing OK but I swear I feel like I'm caring for an infant. She's wearing her little premature infant onesie and she woke up a few minutes ago and started screaming and crying, so I went and picked her up and held her and rocked her and she stopped immediately and went back to sleep. Then I set her down back in her bed and she started crying again. So now I'm just holding her.
