| My yorkie beginnings HI, I am new to yorkie talk and wanted to introduce myself.Today is my anniversary date (becoming a yorkie lover). My husband was shopping for a yorkie for me as a christmas gift in 1996,but didnt find any in our area.I didnt know any of this at the time, but my youngest daughter did.Sadly,my husband was killed in a car accident the following April, and never got the chance to bring a yorkie home. When my daughter was 16 she found the perfect yorkie, she worked as a waitress all summer to pay for him,she brought him home on aug 7 (my husbands birthday)2000.I was so surprized ,she took a day always filled with sadness and put a big piece of joy in it.We named him Bear(my husbands nickname for my daughter).I love him so much that since then we have added Brittany a loveable girl, and Bandit our new little boy now 7 mths.I thought 3 might be to many but my daughter says mom that little yorkie brought love back in your life can you ever have too much love? She was right i love them all .when she is away at college-i hug those yorkies just a little tighter.thanks for listening Nancy |

| Hi Nancy! I'm so glad that you have your yorkies! They are truly a blessing. I plan to get another one when I can. Thanks for sharing your story. Your daughter is precious to give you want she knew your husband wanted you to have. I'll hug Bo a little this year. My daughter will be a freshman and is moving to her dorm on Aug. 25.

| Nancy, your story is so touching and sweet. Your daughter is really special but you already know that. Yorkies are one of God's gifts to the grieving and they do such a wonderful job. I have been mourning the death of my heart of m heart, Jesse, for several months. He was one Yorkie in a million and each time I think about him I tear up. Now, I look at these new little babies and feel less sad. That is what our Yorkies are for-a solace in our times of loss. I know you will miss your daughter but like you said, give those babies extra hugs and smoochies. |

| That is one of the very best yorkie stories I have ever read! Yorkies truly are healers of broken hearts and whatever ails you. I am learning that more and more. Welcome to Yorkie Talk and thanks for sharing that story. |
