Oh yeah...and honestly...who though ANY of the dogs on her website looked real?!?! I'm posting a couple on here. I just can't beleive it... The woman is clearly out of her mind! That last one looks like a drawing! |
That is absolutely horrifying!! I couldn't find a link to email the State Attorney's Office but did send this message to The Suncoast Animal League: My name is Bettye Miller and I am with Yorkie Rescue Colorado, Grand Junction, CO. I have seen what I thought were the most disgusting, filthy backyard breeders ever. Clearly, I have not until now. I belong to a forum of more than 34,000 members from around the world and every single person loves their animals and care for them like children! Teresita Hughes is a monster and I cannot believe that your judge returned even ONE of those poor animals to her!! If this is an example of the laws of your county/city/state, then I never care to visit there again nor will my children or grandchildren!! Doesn't anyone there have the compassion to care enough to do something to stop this? Sincerely, Bettye Miller It probably won't do any good and they will just think I'm just a nut but it made me feel better .... I am soooo angry!!! :( |
I just saw this thread and, though I have to leave for now, I'll be back to look further. One thing I wanted to point out quickly is that if she is photoshopping her pictures, she could be guilty of wire fraud. The FBI has units devoted to this type of crime exclusively. That might be an approach to take to keep this woman from getting these dogs back, Just a thought after reading some of the posts here. |
This is aweful! I still can't find a way to contact that attourney general though! |
I feel the same as you Bettye I am ashamed to say I am even from that state and County for that matter. I have been trying to get my mom and Sister to get together with others and do something from there but they really can't do much that we are not already doing from here. .... This is so sad! Quote:

This is horrible, what is it about the law protecting those who can't protect themselves. She should never be allowed to own a pet much less breed them:mad: This is the info I found to contact the FL Attorney General Main office mailing address Office of Attorney General State of Florida The Capitol PL-01 Tallahassee, FL 32399-1050 To contact Attorney General Bill McCollum please email: ag.mccollum@myfloridalegal.com |
I sat and studied the pictures on the website for a long time. Almost 60% of the pictures have the same nose/mouth/eyes cocked in different angles. The edges of the bodyparts have a ghost edge you get from photoshop. Also the hair was photo/copy stamped in photoshop. It seems she took a few pictures of a pom, maltese, and yorkie and altered something in each picture in photoshop. This is misrepresentation!!! This should be illegal!!!!!! Who knows what the real parents look like, you know? They could be nasty underfed dogs with no socialization and diseases! I am a near photoshop expert got a web design degree before I became a teacher) and I can even do better than that. If you are familiar with some of the photoshop tools, some things stick out like a sore thumb. |
Ack! I remember hearing about this nut lady. I am shocked she is getting some of her dogs back. I appreciate the person who stated they should not reelect the judge who allowed her to have her dogs back into office. I hope there is enough outcry that he reconsiders. |

Please lets keep this bumped up to the top and tell as many people as we can to try to save these babies from being returned to this woman. I've got a crew of window installers coming today, so I've got to take down curtains and blinds and make sure Abby and Daisy don't get let out with the window people going in and out, so I can't keep an eye on this today, but please would someone keep it bumped up? I feel so bad for the foster parents too. Can you imagine caring for these dogs for 3 months having to give them back to her? :( |

:mad: This angers me so much -- she found it more fruitful to spend her time photoshopping dogs together than actually caring for real live breathing dogs!! If that isn't humane, I don't know what is! I can not figure out how a judge could make such a decision! What about sticking her with the $100,000 plus bill the rescue organization has incurred?? That would have made more sense!! It has cost her nothing over the last few months, and now she just gets the dogs back  What confused me about her website is who are the dogs and people in the show pictures?? Was she once somewhat reputable or into showing or are these stolen pics? |
