1. Yorkie puppiess need nutritious DOG food designed for puppies. 2.NEVER use a collar on a Yorkie. Their necks are fragile. Use a harness. 3. Clothes do not hurt them, however, I would not leave a dog alone for a long period in clothes, as they may get stuck on something and cause themselves harm. 4. PLEASE DO NOT start breeding Yorkies. Go to college (work in the library or the cafeteria or whatever). Most universities have an employment office and will help students find jobs on campus.

| "I'lll just call the people back and say sorry. Anyway, The dogs arn't potty trained because they have spent their whole lifes in cages smaller than my desk. Should I use a harness or a collar? And as for doggy clothes. Is it bad to use theese on Yorkies? I've heard aawful stories about them strangling themselves. If I don't let them out of my sight will they be okay? I've see n some people's avatars with their dogs in clothes." thought you were going to tell them no.

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | There are lots of puppy mills in Missouri; I don't think it's unusual or illegal for a farmer to shoot the dogs that it doesn't want anymore. To the OP, if you really want a good deed, find a rescue to place these dogs. I spent months reading about Yorkies and their needs before buying one. It's a huge commitment to own any dog, but Yorkies have special needs. There is all sorts of information on diet and grooming in Yorkietalk. Read other posts that are similar to your own questions, or you can do a search. It's not possible to tell you everything about owning and training and breeding a Yorkie in one thread. I think of all dogs, Yorkies are the closest to having a human child, and best suited for those who want to take on those kind of responsibilities. For someone who doesn't want to take the time to learn about canine nutrition in detail, prepared dog foods are a safer choice.

| I will NOT breed them since everyone thinks it's terrible. Why do you think I will abuse them so? Thanks for the advice you did give have anymore?I'm looking into it a lot right now. What kind of dog food do you use for your dogs? I won't leave them outside since thats not a good idea either. Is it okay to take them outside to go to the bathroom so long as they have leashes? I'm afraid they won't do much They have been in cages snaller than my desk their WHOLE lifes! Once they are out do you think they will be okay? Maybe if I wourk with them alot lots of love and care they might come out of there share. Its just when I heard he was going to do this and I saw the dogs I wouldn't let him do it. I will give them a great home I promise. Just could you tell me little about your exp? Oh BTW i have plently of funds for theese dogs and I'm already apling for doggie insurance. |

| Yorkie Yakker | My yorkie hasn't ever been left outside by herself and she is a bigger yorkie. I bring her out on her leash and let her do her business and walk around and then it is back in the house. Yorkies are a small breed that shouldn't be left outside at all, it isn't unheard of for hawks to swoop down and take one for their lunch. I am not a breeder, but with the research I have done, most breeders only break even, if not go in the hole, while raising pups. Think about this alot and maybe try to get the money back that you have spent already on them to put toward your college fund. |
