| Pool area feet protection Well another exciting weekend! Saturday my little guy had a bloody foot, come to find out his nails filed down to NOTHING from running around the cemented pool area all day. 2 nails were bleeding so I thought he broke them, but when I examined all 4 paws on both my boys their nails were worn down ALOT in just that ONE day! Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to protect their feet/nails while they are in the pool area? Do they make swim booties for TINY dogs? I had to leave them locked in the house on sunday while we were all swimming because I couldn't let their nails bleed all day!

| We live in Az and we have a built-in pool... And the cement is HOT ! First , we have an umbrella by the steps in the pool (for shade_they can get sunburned) I also put towels on the ground (all over) so they can stand on them while gazing in the pool !! I also fill their kiddie pool with fresh water because 2 of them go in and out of their pool and drink the water !???? They come in with us too, but they really go in and out and in and out.....

| Yeah, they can get sunburned....I just read it in one of the weekly magazines that come to our community ! And they can get dehydrated too !!! We don't take them for walks during the summer here...I hate seeing people jogging with their pets , even early in the morning ! What is with them???

| Yeah.....dogs can get sunburned. You know those Chinese Crested.....the hairless ones? You have to put sunblock on them because they have no hair to protect their skin. When I was looking for my first dog I almost got one of those until the breeder told me that.......nope I'm not putting sun screen on my dog!
