Horrible Breeder
 

Hi,
I have written before about purchasing a Puppy from a Breeder who sold me a different Puppy with a different Birthdate from the Puppy I purchased online.
The Puppy had multiple Health Issues. The Breeder didn't want to hear from me when I contacted her about these Issues. I have reported her to the Better Business Bureau,as well as the Humane Society, Stop Puppie Mills,and other concerned Organizations.

My Puppy is now having Behavior Issues. I will be sending her to Puppy School for Six weeks to hopefully sort these issues out. After spending $1,750.00 on the wrong Puppy and over $1,000.00 in Vet Bills,I am now in for another $2,500.00 to hopefully correct her Behavior.

I Love my Puppy very much and will do everything I can for her. Just don't want this to happen to anyone else. Please don't buy from the Internet. Most of these Puppie's are from Puppy Mill's according to my Vet. I am not sorry for my mistake. I feel I have rescued this Little Girl from a World of who know's what? I will be more involved in supporting against Puppy Mill's.

Hopefully someday Dog's will not have to go through this to Support these Mill owner's who only want to make money from people like me...Not to mention the Hell all their Dog's go through Breeding constantly.

I know exactly how you feel. Went through a smilar situation. I hope you're right about one day being rid of puppy mills.

Welcome to Yorkietalk, I am so glad you joined. We need more people advocating good breeding, and sometime I feel like so many people don't understand why it's important to look for a good breeder when choosing a puppy. You're right about buying over the Internet, lots of people have learned that you shouldn't buy from pet stores, but think it's ok to buy from the Internet, and according to the Human Society, no good breeder would sell their dogs this way. A good breeder is looking for homes in which to place their puppies rather than just selling them, and are very particular on who adopts their puppies. So many people believe if the can get a cheap dog, that they really have made out well, but many find out later that behavior and health problems can add up to more than what a show dog would have cost. I am so sorry you had to learn this the hard way, but I'm glad you are taking a proactive stance in helping your dog overcome these difficulties. I think a majority of people either rehome, abandon, or euthanize dogs that could be rehabilitated.

Horrible Breeder
 

I can't believe how many thoughtful caring people are on this site. I have been so overwhelmed over this entire ordeal. The very day I purchased this Puppy, my Daughter-in-Law was coming home from work and got Killed by a Drunk Driver. That was about 10 hour's after placing my Deposit on the Puppy. I asked the Breeder for a refund on the Deposit.... she refused. Did I stop there?, no! My Grandchildren were so sick after losing their Mom, I contacted the Breeder and went ahead with the Puppy Purchase. I did it for my Grandchildren because I didn't know how to deal with the losss of their Mom. I thought a Puppy would make them Happy. Was I wrong????. The Puppy has been sick since the purchase. I am trying to deal with my Grandchildren's loss, and the sick Puppy I purchased for them. I also had to deal with the Harrassing, threatening emails from the Breeder's Husband.
This has been the worst thing I ever had to deal with in Life. Now I do whatever I can for the Puppy. My Grandchildren can't deal with another loss.

How devastating that this all happened at the same time. I don't know how you kept your sanity; I guess you had to be strong for the grandchildren. When we had our adorable, but poorly bred dog, I had small children at the time, and it was just so hard on them to understand all the things that the dog went through. As a parent, you want to protect your children from some of the realities of life, and a sick dog that has no chance for a decent life isn't one of the things that I wanted them to learn about so young. I hope you don't feel alone anymore.

I am so sorry for your loss.... it is devastating that some ppl are literally out there to make a buck and dont care about the dogs or the buyers.

I really respect and admire that you decided to keep your baby and help her get over her medical issues and behavior issues instead of dumping her at a shelter, like some people do. What is your little one's name? I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter and wish you, your grandkids and your pup nothing but the best in the future, you all deserve it. Welcome to YT. I am so sorry about your loss and your puppy misfortunes, but you have come to a great forum where there are many supportive people. The best way to avoid others making the same mistake is to identify the breeder who caused the heartache.

I know things will turn out for you, because you are a warm caring woman.

Im very sorry for your losses and what you've had to go through with the puppy. I hope the puppy is feeling better.

And puppies do help you heal. I got my Triss a month after my infant daughter died. Having my sweet puppy and taking care of her has literally brought me out of the darkest place I have ever been.

I am so glad you found us. My heart goes out to you on the loss of your Daughter in law. Hopefully the puppy will be ok and bring you some much needed joy.

when you come out publicly with the name of your bad breeder, and the kennel name and website, you can help other people. and maybe help put them out of business.. the name shows up on searches so people will be aware of breeders who sell sick puppies and torture the parents.. so sorry for your sick puppy. hope hes all better soon.:)

Maxi, I am sorry you are going thru this and so sorry to hear of your DIL passing. I commend you for what you are doing for this puppy and for all puppies.

Maxi85, I am sorry you had to learn this way.. I have been there and it is not nice.. but I have had this problem with a good show breeder in Canada.. and when I sent her an email.. she called me an idiot.. so just because people show does not give them a good name or rep.. with this breeder most do not say anything for she is extremely intimidating...

Nancy great great post..and this is why I do not sell the few puppies I have over the internet.. I want to know who is having one of my babies.. I keep in touch with them all.. like to hear once in awhile that all is ok.. and nothing nothing then to hear something like.. "I got my baby for a birthday/anniversary gift from my hubby and it is the gift that keeps on giving.." Screening people is not easy unless you meet them face to face..and I am still in the hole.. and people say why do you do it then.. because I was taken so much over a 20 year period and have heard so many stories.. I want to be able to have some one who can get a yorkie and be able to call me.. and then I can help if needed.. am always there..as much as I can be.. anne

Maxi85, I'm terribly sorry you're faced with the difficult times you are right now. My heart goes out to you for the loss of your daughter in law.

You shouldn't have to be dealing with a newly purchased sick puppy, ever - but it's especially tough with what has happened to your family.....again, I'm so sorry.

So sorry for the loss that your family is going through. It's a disgrace that your family's grief has to be compounded by the troubles that this bad breeder has caused you!! Welcome to YT, I hope you find some comfort with the nice people you will meet here.

It was Ultimate Puppies in OK. Ultimate Pets
Not only did she sell me a sick Puppy, she sent me the wrong Puppy.
The Puppy I picked up at the Airport was 11 weeks old. The Puppy I purchased was 14 weeks old. The Puppy looked nothing like the one I ordered. I brought the Puppy to the Vet. He confirmed that is was not the same Pup, and he also confirmed it was a Puppy Mill Dog. Hope this helps other people from making the same mistake I did.

Maxi I like the others here am so sorry to hear all that you have had to endure. The fact that you have endured and continue to go on shows just what a strong and caring person you must be. I have been in your shoes as far and the puppy goes, buying from what I thought was a good breeder only to be let down. My gang and I raise our paws to you for all that you are doing for your little furbaby and pray that all works out well for you.
And to your darling Grandchildren, our prayers that life will take a turn to a beautifully colored rainbow so that they can laugh and smile again soon.

I checked out your Website. Your Puppie's are Beautiful. Thanks so much for your kind word's. I am so glad I found this site. I have received a lot of support here from Great People like yourself. Hoping to post my Puppie's Picture soon. I am trying to fatten her up first. She is 5 1/2 month's now and only weighs two pounds. She eats constantly but is slow gaining weight.

I just had a look at the site your puppy came from. UGH. They make me sick. I've read bad things about them before. I don't know how they sleep at night.

I'm sorry that this has happen to you and your family. And I understand why you bought one off of the internet from her. Her puppy pictures are BEAUTIFUL. My gosh I would buy one in a heart beat if I didn't know what happened. Did your puppy arrive beautiful? This makes me wonder if not, then her pictures are fake?

My husband bought a schnauzer once when she was 2 weeks old, she changed everytime the breeder sent us pictures, and let me tell you she was not the same dog when we picked her up. We bought one dog, but I am sure we saw 6 of them and still ended up with the a different puppy. My husband was happy with her, and I was mad. I'm sure what happened was she had too many of them and got confused with who was who, you know. It does seem like this breeder you had probably did the same thing, she does have many puppies going on at the same time.

Good luck on your baby, and I would love to see a picture to compare with what she has now on her site.

Hi,
She was not Beautiful when I picked her up. She was all wet from her water spilling all over her. I took her home and gave her a Bath. My Daughter said"Mom this Puppy doesn't look like the one in the picture" I didn't think so either. But I thought the long flight, being wet, and the Bath made her look different. I picked her up on Friday. All weekend long I kept looking at her and the picture the Breeder gave me. I just couldn't, and didn't want to believe it. My Husband kept asking "are you sure this is the right Dog"
I went to the Vet on Monday with the picture and the Puppy. The Vet tossed the picture on the table and said" this is not the same Dog, and it is from a Puppy Mill" It was all down hill after that. Then all the Medical Issues came up. I was at the Vet once at least once a week after that. My Puppy has been on so much medicine. For two weeks, she was taking four different prescriptions. I love her very much, but she is not the Beautiful Dog I purchased. I have wanted a Yorkie for so long. I searched everywhere for well over a year before I found the Breeder's site. I fell in love with that Puppy in the Picture. I even bought little Birth Announcements with her Picture on them and sent them out the Day before I picked her up at the Airport. When I told the Breeder it was not the Dog I ordered she said' maybe they switched Dogs at the Airport. The entire ordeal has been a Nightmare.
I would like to post both Pictures but I don't know how to do it. Another thing that happened is, I sent the Breeder things I found on the Internet about her, now the Husband tells me he is taking me to Fereral Court because what I did is a Crime. I have an Appt. with an Lawyer next week which is going to cost even more money. By the time this is over I will be into it for a lot more than the $1750.00 Puppy.. Not only the Puppies at the Mill are treated badly, so are the People that buy them maxi85

i looked at the website.. and it totally looks above board...it certainly does not look like a puppy mill.. she also has recent testimonials..
i would totally consider buying from this breeder
but your vet said it was a puppy mill dog..
how can that be?

sorry for your trouble, but ultimate pets has a very convincing website, withthe cute family and all.. is this a fake photo and a fake story? i guess it could be if she ships all her puppies:animal-pa

You have had so much given to you at one time. Its hard to know what to do. Hopefully the puppy and the grandkids can work togeather and maybe that will help. Its a load for you to take on and then have the sick puppy on top of things. I hope that this behavior class will help out. Its hard to tell what that puppy went through.
