After reading all of the posts, my heart goes out to you. I hope you take the advice and not bother with a lawyer - that guy was trying to scare you. Like you don't have enough on your plate. I fell in love with a dog in a photo, too. Hope you have many years with the angel you ended up adopting. My sympathies about your loss of your daughter-in-law. Hugs and welcome!

My heart breaks after reading your story and I know she is healthy and happy... You may have her for your family...She is so full of love...

That Breeder just breaks my heart...

This issue has totally captivated my attention. I think these breeders are a puppy mill. I also have looked extensively at the images of the puppies and believe it might be the same one. Just that when the photo on the website was taken it was before the puppy became so ill.

I am posting these images below. I do photo restoration and old, old photos are sometimes have to have the 'color' restored as well. I have used one of my programs to take some of the 'blueness' out of the sick puppy image and it is 'more like' in color with the original photo from the website (which is the work of a professional photographer).

Just like humans, when gravely ill, there is a marked change in the appearance. Please view the image below and tell me if you think it might be the same puppy....just gravely ill.

Anything is possible, but it is more common than not that these websites pose puppies in cute outfits and use the same pictures over and over, and act like the person is getting one particular puppy. It takes time to take these pictures, why not just use the same ones over an over? Even the breeder said that wasn't the same puppy, and maybe it was "switched" at the airport. The two puppies don't look the same to me because the first picture which should be the youngest has much bigger ears than in the second picture. In addition the coloring looks different as well as the shape of the eyes.

The eyes look more oval or round to me... I wasn't sure...but I think they look different.

Just the fact that the breeder suggested that the airline switched the puppies is both suspicious and asinine. I keep up with all sorts of animal issues, and I haven't read of any conspiracies where airlines are switching puppies. I didn't think about it this morning because I was so tired from being in the ER all night, but I agree with an earlier poster than Maxi should contact the airline. Since the breeder put that in an e-mail (if I'm remembering correctly), that's considered libel, so the airline might take some interest in this and scare the crap out of this guy themselves. Even better, maybe they'll actually sue him. I know I would.

I wasn't trying to salvage the rep of the breeder in any way, believe me! I think they should be shut down and if this puppy is in fact a different puppy....as the vet did state...I would sue them for bait and switch. Also the point about blaming it on the airlines is a good one.

The laws governing internet businesses is still going through change, but this would be an interstate fraud case that the FBI may be interested in. I would at least present it. I do realize that for all that is on the plate of the owner of this puppy, this may be a very difficult battle given the circumstances. I wish I were a lawyer. I would take it on in a heartbeat. Pro bono.

To bad you can't sue someone for not having a caring heart.

I had my first litter of the spoiled and pamper crew... My babies stay healthy and shots up to date and vet on call...
I can't make a profit, because they spend all momma's money...
I live for them...they are my kids... they give me something special to do with my time... I am breaking my neck to stay within the standards...and it is hard...with all the details... whew I have to start all over after joining this forum... I have learned so much....:yay_jump:

Nope sorry, changing the appearance of this poor baby still shows that she is not what she bought.

I'm not for sure, but guys if this was me I would take this to the court room the only way to stop this is going through the court system. She needs to be out of business and I feel the courts would work better then anything else. Yes it will cost, but you can ask for the other party to pay court cost when its done. She needs to go to the DA office and take all records and pictures and see what can be done. Also find out which state would have jurisdiction since she was bought from another state.

WOW you are awesome to say the least. What a great person to try and make a wrong right even when you didn't have any part in it.

You are so kind. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. My Puppy for the most part is better. She still has a Heart Murmur. But the Parasite thing is over. She is also over the Kennel cough. That took awhile to cure.
Someone mentioned something about her hair. Her hair is very thin on top. The rest of her body hair looks ok. Even though I feel it is not the same Pup, I feel in Love with it. We have become very close. I think once she finishes Puppy School she will be fine. Thanks so much for your most Generous offer.

Angels among us. What a kind sweet person you are for offering Maxi and her grandchildred your special Bently :) Wow, YT'ers never cease to amaze me. Yes, you may get a bad apple now and then, but for the most part YT members are the most loving, caring and giving people I have ever met in my 31yrs. I do hope I get the opportunity to meet you guys, as I would feel privileged to do so. :)

Maxi, my heart breaks for you and your grandchildren at the loss of your daughter. And then the fight you have had to keep this sweet puppy and regain health. This Starmye and husband are horrible people. I have spent litteraly hours in the past couple of months looking at their site. :( It is sickening to say the least. :( One things that I hate is the birthdates of these pups. There is only ever a couple of days between litters and it is consecutively, just BAM litter BAM another litter BAM yet another litter and it goes on for weeks of a litter every couple of days :mad: And their standards?!?!? My gosh, some of the adults don't even look like Yorkies, bless their little hearts (Yorkies)for having to live like that. I hope they get shut down and these poor babies are spayed/neutered rehomed to loving forever homes.
